I am not complaining on Crumps move, just the amount of fans on here who create merry hell when Pedersen did it to Crump, but if it was Pedersen making that move we would be up to 5 pages already. Crump did nothing illegal or he would have been out. Lindback is a novice with a hell of a lot to learn. His bikes were not fast enough, his experience short, but as far as I am concerned he was star of the show tonight. A fresh face is what is so desperately needed at the top, and although we can't expect him to do as well every GP, he made a big mark tonight, and it won't be the last time this year he will be in the final.

For all the Pedersen knocking, Crump just chopped off Lindback big time nearly bashing the youngster off in his panic for a rostrum place. Stilll well done Lindback, a novice compared to the rest and in a few years you will be at the top whilst others will have long gone. Today you came of age boy. Now all hail King Tony, the best speedway rider in the world by the proverbial mile.

What is it with Eastbourne fans? I said what Pedersen did was hard but fair. No slagging him off from me. I think the guy is an entertainer and going to be top three this year. Seems he has Crump where he wants him. In his pocket. As for the Lindback move it wasn't the same at all. He was in front and moved over, which is what he had to do to win the heat. Hampel had to stop his run.

Racing has improved. There has been a bit of dirt made out wide and some of the riders are using it. Have to say Lindback is riding superbly in his first oficial GP. Looks like the nerves are gone and he is fast and smooth. Even if he does no more it will be deemed a success. The two Brits are woeful.

Can't stand Abba. They were the epitemy of bad taste when they were around. The Nolans of the 70's and 80's to most people with decent musical taste. Strangely they came into vogue well after their demise, when suddenly their pop music became for some reason fashionable. As a jazz funker from the 70s/80s, I dislike them with a passion.

Knowing how Benfield think it will probably be Tony Christie. He will be relatively cheap, have a repetoire of three or four well known songs ( which is enough) and get fans up in the isles to "show me the way...

Young Ipswich reserve Miskowiak has been dropped.... from the opening GP in Poland. His form so far this season has led Polish authorites to replace him with new Polish sensation Krystof Kasprzak, who is in virtually unbeatable form. Comiserations to Miskowiak. His time will surely come again. Congratulations to the Poole superstar.

Absolutely the correct 5. I thought they might go and do something stupid by putting in Holta, but common sense prevailed in the end.

Tony proved just how good he is tonight by romping to the win. The crowd finally erupted, after a small ripple of applause went around the stadium when Crump won the title. Well done TRick. The true peoples champion!

Perhaps I am not making it clear enough to you. Norris was top od the averages, BUT he had a lowere grade than Pedersen. Only Pedersen could warrant a grade A guest, whether or not he was 1st or 7th in the averages, as grades stick for the season! Eastbourne season came to an end, because the calibre of guest available was not riding to Norris's scores this season.

They couldnt have a guest of any conseqense as Pedersen was their number one. If they could have they would have used a decent guest at Ippo for the playoff, instead of darkin! If Bjarne Pedersen had got injured, and he is top of the averages, we could have been stuffed. You can only use a guest for your number one, and that is the guy with the highest grade. i.e Sullivan. Crazy rule but that's the way it is.

Riders keep there grade but guest is for the top averaged rider but the guets is picked using grades. Yes, it's <hmmmm> and it confuses people. But your numebr 1 is the guy top of the averages (like Norris is for Eastbourne) but it uses grades (thats why Eastbourne have had poor guetss for Floppy). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thats correct. Norris was clear number one in the averages, but they couldn't use a guest as he was not grade A. N Pedersen was. So there ended their season!

NO its against the rules I am afraid. He cannot be brought back after he left, once the Aug deadline passed. Either it's Sullivan or a guest. We will probably hear later tonoight or tomorrow who bad the injury is. If his hand swells up and he can't get his glove on, then Matt should be on the phone to Adams IMO.

Sounds a cracking idea. I didn't at first like the idea of going back to a 5 race 20 heat formula, but with meeting points counting as GP points, it makes every race, and every place, someting to go for. Only thing left unanswered was what happens if you score a 5 ride max, then bomb out in the semi? Do semi and final race points count as well? If so a rider can get 8 points in the 5 heats, and win the final. How will that compare to a rider who gets a max then bombs out? Looking forward to it already.

Come on TRick! Show that Crump who is the best. Win the meeting and lets all hope (non Crump fans of which there are many) that the Aussie croaks again like he did last year. What a night that would be. The Dom is in the fridge just in case! Come on King Tony!

Wouldn't it be absolutely fantastic if Crump chocked in Norway like he did last time and TRick won the meeting and then the runoff I would crack open a bottle of Krug and drink down the lot in one go. Of course it's not likely to happen but anything to stop the Aussie Ginger Whinger from taking the title.
