Ipswich v Peterborough June 23rd
Racin Jason 72 replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You could get mick Poole and ronni pedersen out of retirement whilst we get Tim hunt and preben eriksen -
I rarely attend mildenhall anymore because it always takes forever to complete meetings. I went Sunday to support a great cause but left after 16 heats as it was dragging on. four hours and 6 minutes is unacceptable to complete a meeting. If they could complete a regular meeting in 90 minutes I’d probably attend but they never do. And that seems to be the same under numerous promotions at mildenhall.

Yesterday was the funeral of club stalwart Chris Ellis which as expected was very well attended for a celebration of her life. Just wanted to say that Danny king and Ritchie Hawkins attending the lunch time funeral making the effort to come from Peterborough to Ipswich and then back to Peterborough for our meeting. They made me proud and deserve praise for their efforts and we really do have a very special club with fantastic staff and fans. RIP Chris xxx

Brummies v Gladiators 15/06
Racin Jason 72 replied to Col's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think you will find Ellis is blameless. Offered a 28 day contract which he honoured plus some. His schedule doesn’t allow for championship once all his other leagues start. he got you out of a muddle in my opinion. It was the promotion who were economical with the truth that caused the fuss. -
Today’s feature in the speedway star about Newcastle is solely quotes taken from the BSN coverage from Sunday. absolutely no comment from the promotion whatsoever.
-
The situation seems similar to how Newport ended up under the late Tim Stone.
-
He would have been injured so unable to take his place in the team
-
Doesn’t seem to be any communication from the club at all. the conflicting report in the speedway star was because the club didn’t provide anything for them to print so someone from the speedway star had to produce a article on their behalf.

Newcastle v Leicester 12th June 2022

This is like watching the 2008 mildenhall team. Nowhere near competive. Really feel for the fans. bringing in jack smith is a complete waste of time. Even someone like victor pavlova would make a difference as it would push clegg into a reserve berth -

Drew scored 14 points on his debut for Ipswich at Scunthorpe and raised all expectations. -

It wasn’t a speedway meeting it was a gathering and therefore doesn’t count !!!! -
KOC Sat 4 June - Glasgow v Edinburgh
Racin Jason 72 replied to Endeavour's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It’s very easy with hindsight to criticise especially if you didn’t attend the meeting and can’t witness the effort and determination or otherwise but I do wonder if Stewart Dickson was still in charge how many league titles Glasgow would have won under the current regime. -

That’s only the case for two or more changes. If any replacement rider has a lower average than the one he is replacing then you don’t need to get under the 42 pt limit. -
Edinburgh - new home required….

I guess they don’t want to sell with a sitting tenant as that could delay the future development -
Birmingham vs Poole 25th May
Racin Jason 72 replied to lbw's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It’s my home track and Danny rides it as well as anyone but this year so far he is struggling and is getting passed at foxhall. im sure it’s only a dip and he will soon be back on form for both his teams -

Add cradley at stoke to that list. only way it would work at workington is for the team to be called Workington comets. Anything else would alienate both sets of fans. -

Peterborough is also his favourite track. Is he getting passed easily at foxhall too -
Not seen a official line up yet which is worrying. It will be standard points money and none of the top riders will want to ride in it. expect lots of van breakdowns and illness

Think it was only a 28 day contract he signed and that’s probably the reason the BSPL took so long to ratify the signing as it was obvious it was to achieve a facility once the contract ended. a cynical way to treat the fans. Honestly is always the best policy. I remember at mildenhall when they signed Kaj laukkenan on a similar deal I asked the question at the after meeting forum to the then promoter who lied and said he was here all season. Two months later kaj left the club. that promoter was Laurence Rogers
