To keep the team together would moving the team to the new Workington track be a option ? it would need to be called Workington comets as a shared name just disillusions both sets of fans. it would give Edinburgh a extra 12 months to find or build a new base whilst retaining their riders. workington would have a new team to support while you would get several Edinburgh fans travelling to see their riders. I would suggest the team is loaned to a new Workington promotion with maybe the Edinburgh promotion advising or assisting but not in a financial sense. Leaving them to concentrate on finding a new home.

As someone who has seen him ride for Ipswich I think generally his commitment has been excellent. he was signed as a 5 point rider and is now riding in the tough number 5 position. He has had some fantastic 5-1 wins with Doyley yes he relies on his gating but he can pass when in the mood. He needs to feel valued and he is at Ipswich as he was at Swindon.

When they showed the league table they had a column for draws !!!! luckily with this wonderful superheat that ain’t possible anymore.

I really enjoyed the racing and thought the track was very good and all the falls I thought were down to rider error which is understandable seeing how important the meeting was and how inexperienced some were on the Ashfield track my biggest worry is when the poles consider the two/three league rule they will look at this meeting and conclude English tracks cause injury and won’t allow the riders to come to the uk.

This meeting is like being at mildenhall for duration and rider withdrawals.
