  1. Spud has the same nickname on the butt end of his Kevlars, or at least used to.
  2. Still struggling fellas ??!! Best not to post your applications for the Krypton Factor.. Blankety blank might suit you better.
  3. Cheers lads...and thanks for watching.... if you need some help with translation, there are many wise men who come from the East. Speaking of that....where is Blobby?? Was he in Ed`s costume tonight? Sales of magners as poor as the home teams gating tonight.
  4. well done Sheffield and pat on the back for their travelling fans in the shed. Tie over after 5 heats and was that really Kyle Howarth ?? He won more races tonight than the whole of 2011. Certainly improving and beat Ricky 3 times. can`t see many doing that this year. Monarchs slow from gate all night and passing tough unless you went round the fence. Dicky lawson winning 15 from trap 1 highlighted the home boys tardy starts. rode perfect line and seems to be getting more confident at the dale finally. Expect spud to guest for worky next week ??? I note some tiggers have difficulty with chatzone banter....should have stuck in at school lads.
  5. MMMmmm. We were accused of trying to harm Glasgow`s business growth, and deny them the ability to develop. However we are bigger than that and won`t stoop to such pettiness. That was in 2015 and ancient history , lets hope. There have been episodes of skullduggery which both sets of fans will throw at the other, to highlight under hand practices, which they deny their own team do. It`s called being a fanatic. Support your own team and leave it at that. If Edinburgh don`t win everything.......I don`t give a monkeys who does. Blobby is alive, well, thriving on mothers milk and Deuchars, when last sen in the `dale bar.
  6. tiggers to win this and Monarchs might just get a point if Riss scores heavily from reserve. Hopefully decent weather good track prep and suitable banter on the terraces. Who knows, we may get more inflammatory leaflets dished out at the end, with good grammar and correct punctuation. The Scottish derbies are back !!
  7. Josh a revelation ..just needs to get his elastic bands fully wound for heat 1.. Biancas other half imperious and lightening from the gate. Sam rode well but struggled from the coffin box trap 1. Unlucky in 11 to get picked off mid track, whilst trying to assist Josh. Mark looked sharp and deserved to score more. Erik improved as meeting went on and Mitch beat opposite number onceand got a gift in heat 4..2 points are fine. max is a worry..no sign of improvement on big tracks, slow out gate and into corners...even when trying to jump 14, he penalised himself and mark in trap 3. still 3 points most welcome. For Berwick...Bridger`s ride in 10 as good as Ive seen there since Cookie, if he gates better should win more than he loses, Doolan capable of big rides but might struggle in 13 and 15, against opposing big guns, and Viss and gapp good value and tried hard. The snail and Liam struggling, with the latter needing a spell at reserve. Good luck next Saturday of course...but I fear for you. We should get mid 50s next Friday and the Tigs might do similar on Sat.
  8. Hoping that we get some dryFridays this year. Expect Sam to nudge over 9 and dominate 13 and 15 at home . Hope Eric and Ricky push on and add half a point between them. Ricky should enjoy his real home track at last. Hoping Mark will be secret weapon at reserve and Mitch gets a healthy run and a few points each meeting. We will live or struggle with Max and our new Aussie. Both should be fine at home Max in particular but the big pacy away tracks find him out. For Josh enjoy it try hard and learn from your peers and your own errors....You will be loved by the Monarchs faithful if you do. Hope you enjoy it. We should be tough to beat at the dale so need a few points on the road, and our record of making playoffs is stellar. We could just manage it again. Sam and Ricky should keep up our record at the pairs....And I see we have Sheffield in the cup again...2 big home wins maybe, who gets nearest to 60 ?
  9. Playoffs are fantastic and here to stay.... Big crowds, anticipation and an exciting end to the season if the weather plays ball. Just ask the weegies who loved it in 2015 ....... If the top team are all conquering then they will win everything in any case.
  10. Well done Tiggers and good luck in the semis. As for support, once Edin are out of a competition I couldn't give a monkeys who wins it
  11. Of course Monarchs are squeaky clean....... Sponsored by brasso, Vim, Cillit bang, Persil, Matey, Daz, Derbac, Bold, Dettol, Fullmarks, Andrex, turpentine, Dove and Sheep-dip. That covers the first 14 heats with nominations accepted for heat 15....... Maybe head and shoulders if Spud and Dickie lawson make it........
  12. Sun offs in the West Rain offs in the East..... Pity we can't cooperate. Maybe we should collect all that wet stuff and sell it. Our best natural resource necessary for fermenting and distilling. One day we might get the Glenkinchie Monarchs against the Amber Solaire Tigers In your dreams !!!!
  13. Yes all very interesting. paradoxically I think we can beat Somerset over 2 legs by giving them a good spanking at the dale (they have no track specialists and the new boys aint seen it yet) However I don`t see us beating Glasgow or Newcastle over 2 legs so we would need lots of things to fall into place to get the rebels again for Playoff final 3 (the decider) Mind you getting second would be nice though I think the weegies will get enough away points to join the rebels for 1st round bye.
  14. Max does attract concern and criticism often unfairly. His gating is hit and miss giving him an insurmountable handicap in many races. He does seem to struggle dreadfully on big tracks like Berwick,Worky and the EOS, which is disappointing as he is senior reserve but like 14 on Friday he provides a match winning effort when hugging the white line at home Pijper_esque. Here's hoping that helps his confidence and that more senior riders help with the starting gate handicap he so often suffers
  15. Bomber liable to get the nod on experience and sentiment. Rosco not likely to pick BV boys
  16. Tai,King Lambert and Bomber likely the team. Rosco has never picked Cookie at any and has blinkers there. Eddie Kennett more likely! We will struggle to get a medal
  17. Not sure the promotion deserve invasion from the East DS? They have been scathing in their view towards us. Sofa and pizza for me. Enjoy your victory mind you
  18. Remember it's Rosco picking the team..... Surely he won't pick Stead and Kennett this time??!! No having a laugh .. How about Tai .....world Champ Bomber ...Grand Prix rider King ...British Champ. Nicholls ..Home track and Uber experience. Personally I'd have Cook and Lambert ....but it's Rosco so you never know. Where is Bridger anyway?
  19. We`ve run out of Buckfast........................Sorry.
