  1. Stead finished top of the averages without bonuses because he cleared off to win and left his teammate to finish 3rd or last. Craig finished top when bonuses were added because of those 5-1's where he was happy to sit back and finish behind Sedgy.
  2. That's a bit unfair on Stevie, considering he hit his average in most of his meetings immediately after moving up (first month and a half or so) The only reason IMO he didn't keep it up was due to burning out, and even then he wasn't scoring poorly. I agree it is unlikely to go any higher as a heat leader, if he's used as one, but as a second string he would do fine.
  3. You may have a point there! Suppose we will see come march if he is still going straight when everyone else turns left into bend 1!
  4. On the website he is quoted as saying he actually doesn't mind smaller tracks, so hopefully he has a smaller track he practices on aswell.
  5. Very good signing, maybe won't score big at first, but should hit his average at least by the end of the season! 1. Craig Cook (9.19) 2. Erik Riss (5.00) 3. Kevin Wolbert (6.19) 4. Justin Sedgmen (6.99) 5. Sam Masters (8.23) 6. Max Clegg (3.00) 7. Robert Branford (3.00) Total: 41.60 (0.90 left)
  6. Oh god no! Anyway, why would edinburgh or Somerset use 3.00 for Helfer if they both have over 5.00 left??
  7. First of all, Aaron's average is 3.50. Second of all, he's already said he won't be returning to the UK this year and wants to concentrate on getting himself set up for life after speedway.
  8. Not strictly testimonial related, but there are discussions on the Edinburgh Facebook page for a joint Scottish fundraising day with a charity football match vs Glasgow fans to raise more money for Ricky. Venue and date to be announced when confirmed.
  9. Guessing you must have JDSC on ignore then
  10. Am I right in saying Both Kerr and Rose still get the reduction for the First 3 years out the NL, and that would make their averages 7.36 and 4.05 respectively? If RW became available you could have: Lewis Kerr 7.36 Anders Mellgren 6.57 Ludvig Lindgren 7.12 Anton Rosen 6.69 Richie Worrall 7.32 Simon Neilsen 3.36 Lewis Rose 4.05 It comes in a shade under at 42.47, and Worrall would more than likely go to number 1 at the first average change, unless Kerr has a brilliant season and stays ahead of Richie, in which case it is win win for Newcastle.
  11. Max struggled for the start of 2013 and found himself at reserve on a 3 point something average which he made a mockery of and it gave him confidence to start his improvement. I see the same happening to Allen, and hopefully you stick with him, he looks a decent prospect.
  12. Todd Kurtz won't fit. I calculate 5.90 left and TK is 5.96? I see another Jerry on the horizon!
  13. The deal has been done, the Cookie Monster returns!
  14. It recalls a story which took place at the home of GLASGOW SPEEDWAY, that's how it has something to do with the club. However, I asked you what your point was I. Your post, rather than say it wasn't relevant.
  15. There was also one in the stadium on Taggart a couple of years back. And there was plenty on track last year when the weej came calling. So what's your point?
  16. Should have been 7, but he shut off last bend to let a teammate on a TR through into third in two of the meetings!
  17. Sedgy hit 7.00 during last season (peaking at 7.32 I think it was), or does it have to be a final season average? But it would be killer for him to be rejected since his average is 6.99 now.
  18. Your right, but obviously a captain needs to be named, and I think Craig is the right candidate Unless Stormy does come back, then matty is the obvious choice!
  19. Not a bad shout, but had heard that stormy was thinking about packing in speedway. Not had that confirmed though so maybe not.
  20. I agree, IMO the 5-6 point rider is the crucial one! Cook (captain) Sedgy Wolbert 5.90 (the likes of Anders Thomsen on good kit or a 5.00 rider with potential who becomes an asset - pity we are 0.06 off Todd Kurtz) Masters Clegg Branford I can see us being unbeaten at home again this season, maybe even a couple of away wins at the likes of Rye House. Should be in the mix for play-off places.
  21. Rob Branford has signed up to Partner Clegg at reserve. Welcome to Scotland Rob!
  22. That's fair enough, but I think he will have a good season this year and get back to his best of he has the support That's my honest opinion, but obviously everyone is entitled to their own.
