  1. Hopefully he can do a 2013 Kerr impersonation because at the moment we really need it.
  2. Hope you are right, I also thought he said that cos I remember wondering which shift I was on. Always hoped that losing the GPs to Eurosport might make Sky look for an alternative way to spend the money while still keeping it in the sport. I think George was reckoning on needing both tacticals and was trying to ensure he could fit them in prior to the cut-off point-just a thought? The old adage about up against you rings true. The Newky black cat reared its head once more.
  3. Question? the race suit pattern/style is a subject of taste and to me they look really good- Almost like having seven Ken Le Bretons back for the Diamonds. I do trust however you are not one of those 'harking back to the good old days' fossils who wants to see individual suits return.
  4. The May averages put Robbo back -rightly-to no1. Was the impending removal of that strain a factor in us seeing an return to away form from Ludo I wonder.
  5. Thought as much but just think of the clamour from the fans. A true number one capable of causing devastation anywhere-alas a pipe dream.
  6. While too like Adam, is he not a terrible risk when we need a sure bet points scorer.
  7. Is Kenni Larson 1-fit 2-racing{other than Poland}3-recovered and any good 4-available on a sensible average ?
  8. The age old query for any management in our currant position-can we afford not to-then again do any of us want to see the sort of knee-jerk reaction ala Sheffield.
  9. Can I say that personally, seeing the exposed underside of the terraces has been a revelation. If only those paint daubs and graffiti could talk. In which era were they made and which riders of the past knew those long forgotten scrawlers. Even having to stand out there with half a view of the racing has in some small way been recompensed.
  10. Sorry but I was just trying to give Triple an out for forgetting who were 2011 champions. I have clearly re-kindled sad memories which was not my intention. The apology should be mine.
  11. Dunno if Triple H is a Diamonds fan, but if he is you must forgive he/she as if you remember 2011 is the year we all want to forget. Death and multiple critical injuries and all that.
  12. Moving on to our next match I see that Glasgow have just turned over Peterborough. I know that Fisher was missing, but it does surely show some cracks in their team. Unless the Tigers have turned a corner of course.
  13. Panthers taken by the Comets tonight-not sure how good this team really is-but I suppose on home shale- Robbo and Ludo will have ridden the track, but our other five? God help us. From a league coverage viewpoint, I hope both teams can put on a good even show for the cameras.
  14. Many a Diamonds fan has been worried since the ITT debacle. Maybe when Robbo moves to no 1, the real Ludo will bring cakes to his homecoming party. Other than down the pan. This team was saved last season by a powerful reserve with a big tub of polyfilla , but our management seemed to be hoping for the same. Was hoping to see Richie become another Kenni L. but alas he moved on. But he had made his Polish intentions clear by mid season, so some forward thinking might have been nice. I wonder where we were leaning prior to the intro of Anton.
  15. When was this- it sounds like a brill idea- did it last long and why was it dropped. Or you could have just followed the match updates on the Diamonds website- pity more clubs do not do this.
  16. Can I as a mere Diamonds fan, throw something else into the mix which maybe one of the Bandits faithful may have some insight on. I have a theory that the uncertain showings of many riders across the board is in no small measure related to the wholesale intro. of safety fences and the consequent redesign of many tracks to accommodate them. Have any of your post castle riders suggested that Shielfield post beans is altered just enough that the riders 'little black book' of bike settings/track cons has been rendered questionable. Slightly too young to remember those halcyon days but my father was there back in the thirties at Bough and he did . Talking to the older family members more recently, they also believe as you - mind you on a Sunday night some of our riders have been known to sink a few if of course Monday didn't have them guesting.
  17. So sad to see Lemo's recent scores. Last year in Plymouths first visit to Brough Park he and Ludo {on fire at the time} got a rare two and a half each cos the ref could not call it. On their later visit he rode like pants. I would really like to see him regain some form of respectability but it seems our management were right at the end of 2012.
  18. Berwick are not the only team in this fixture with a suspect no1. Given Ludo's currant away form your bloke Doolan will have to be really atrocious to not take some points from him. We never know which of his twin personas we are going to get.
  19. Meaningless maybe, and I admit that I was tempted to give it a miss, but to say it was different is an huge understatement. Long and drawn out, but hey it created entertainment both on and off the track. And prob. a good few more posts for this forum than say even a draw would have done.
  20. So TJ is now a weak muscled sparrow who cant drag a finely tuned racing machine out of harms way. Lets just assume that this ageing ref had failed to apply the red lights- exactly who would now be in hospital. Rider safety is paramount and petulance is best left in the playground.
  21. On Ryans second off the heat was stopped I think because the ref could not see past the air fence. The red lights came on barely a fraction of a second before a yellow helmet bobbed up from behind the fence as Ryan attempted to clear his bike from the track. The refs finger would been still on the button. How much bearing have these new air fences had on the visibility at some tracks I wonder.
  22. If he is following Auty's example then exploitation of the rules will or have already become second nature methinks. Misguided 'middlener, sorry is Scunny North or South.
  23. Was there and he parked the bike where it could do most harm. An atrocious act which will I hope be dealt with accordingly. A less lenient ref. would have banned him instantly. Dreamland if he even he believed that statement. Never a rider but I have pushed a car, and he made NO attempt to remove that life threatening obstruction at all.
