  1. Having seen the Lions riding at Poole earlier in the season I think your opptimism is well founded!
  2. I'm still not sure if Kelv has got his heating on. Will there be a dramatic announcement after the meeeting tomorrow night or after the SoN meetings? Will we ever know?
  3. If its rained off tonight some thinking outside the box will be required. How about Poole running a double header tomorrow against Lions and Scorpions? If Leicester score more points than Scorpions Lion's ride Poole at home on Saturday. If Scorpions score more points than Lions then they host Poole on Friday. Simples!
  4. Having watched the Premier League Speedway on Eurosport this season I'm wondering how I'm going to survive the winter without the Nige and Kelv show. Will anyone one else feel bereft? Will be interested to know what other viewers think of their banter!
  5. I think, given the amount of rain in Leicester the last few days and today so far (and there's more, to come) it would have been very difficult to prepare the track for racing for tomorrow afternoon or evening.
  6. Weather forecast for Leicester on Saturday is awful. And I've looked at three! Could it be rearranged for Sunday?
  7. I know he was I'll but I thought it strange that this wasnt mentioned in the report. No mention of Dan at all.
  8. No mention in the report on the Lions website this morning about why Dan Thompson was missing.
  9. Does anyone know what the size of the crowd is tonight compared to recent meetings?
  10. Met Office says only 10% chance of rain between 3pm and 5pm in Glasgow tomorrow.
  11. At least the weather forecast is better for 6pm on Sunday but it looks like rain later!
  12. Having seen the Lions ride at Poole earlier in the season I wouldn't be surprised if Poole are ahead on aggregate after the first five races of the second leg.
  13. According to the fixture lists on the Leicester and the BSPA websites this rearranged fixture will take place on 4th September. Not far off but no news item on the Lions website!
  14. It's not just about a dodgy weather forecast. Given the forecast and the sort of day it's been, cloudy all day with the occasional shower, how many fans would have turned up with their umbrellas and rain gear, compared to how many would have turned up on a warm, sunny evening, especially when Glasgow are in town? After all running a speedway club is a business!
  15. Teams were announced in yesterdays press release. Same as for tonight except Morris and Douglas swap places. Fair chance the weather will win whichever forecast you look at. Quote from press release; Dickson tracks the same riding order which was in place at Birmingham last week, with Nick Morris taking the No.5 berth, whilst Ryan Douglas will race in that position in the home fixture.
  16. Lot of speculation on Updates that Eastbourne riders are not getting paid. Might explain lack of rider in heat 15.
