Unfortunately i think many would share your view that you are happy to see Berwick run a NDL team and wouldn't want to pay to watch it. I think the promotion have made a sensible decision to test the water and i suspect the stand alone events will bare out that the venture can be sustained via double headers but not on its own merits. Everyone has their price point and their opinions of value for money, i certainly wouldn't have been excited to watch a CL meeting packed with guests and RR that was largely from the gate action at £17 a head.

Plymouth Gladiators 2021
Sings4Speedway replied to Marksman's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Getting the in form Flint in for the injured Akins is a handy bonus (i must say i thought it would be an unattached rising star rather than other clubs rider but s a whole other discussion). Next home meeting is going to be very important for the zero men, its one thing to struggle on the road but if Cook, Ruml and Goret don't get going at home its going to be a long season. -
Over the close season the majority were happy to champion the inclusion of the NDL team and would happily back the venture. By running as double headers the venture becomes financially viable. £17 normal price, extra £7 for the double headers isn't the worst value (depending on teams on show) Booking fee's passed on to end users is a debateable one as ever. Would think the plan to get fixtures done by end August is a wise one, leaving gaps for any rain offs and play offs etc. Too often clubs fill fixtures until the end and then have to cancel or not complete the full quota.

RR is allowed but its "normally" not allowed when a rider hasn't ridden for that particular club otherwise a rider with no intention of riding could sign and then the team could utilise RR all season long. The rule has been broken its just been broken across multiple leagues....does that make it any better?

Old man Chattin guests for his replacement who is too young to compete in the first fixture....you can't make this stuff up

Kent vs Leicester Tuesday 18th 6.30pm
Sings4Speedway replied to teaboy279's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I fear the big hitters for the Lions might have a little too much fire power for the Kings but hopefully should be kept close. The Kent engine room and reserves will have a big say on how close. Still uncertain about Hurry at this level so will certainly get a few questions answered. Also keeping fingers crossed for the track improvements to be positive and likewise the step up in racing. -
Rothery seems to be featuring in all the recent teams, i wonder why.....

Armadale Devils v Newcastle Gems (Friday 14 May 2021)
Sings4Speedway replied to edmon's topic in National League Speedway
Solid throughout for the Gems with good showings from the reserves pinching the away points. Too many passengers for the Devils and will only get worse once Rothery moves into the main 1-5. Sheldon Davies really ought to be doing better than this with the experience he has. -

These early season match ups often offer up a bit of intrigue. Will Clegg be as dominant as predicted? Will Rothery continue his hot streak? Which Dugard will make a return? Can Danny Phillips finally get started? Many questions to be answered tonight but in the respect of league points this is a vital fixture for both sides. -
Acting (being) dim but how would someone within the UK view this? Sign up and then use a non UK based IP to view the streams? I fear that some will jump on this and sign up before realising they cannot view in the UK

Go Pro from King’s Lynn

If it was he ought to have been much further in front.....Anders Rowe also uses #111 so i suspect it was him. -
Surprisingly nothing lined up for Alex yet, i suspect he will pick up a spot before the season is out though as there are one or two riders who already look shakey with commitment.

had a quick blast through and can see Dan Gilkes in the first one and i think its Jason Edwards with the camera on. I can see Brennan and i think its Kemp also but didn't sight Palin anywhere? Nice to see Scotty pop out on track to offer some advice at the end also -
The items you reference however are the market leaders and have continual development and improvement placed into them to ensure their place in the market and the more premium price tags. At what stage can Speedway claim to have followed that? The premium feel has very much been lost, if it was pitched and viewed as a more rough and ready sport with rough and ready prices i feel more would be willing to over look its many flaws.

Premiership junior league
Sings4Speedway replied to Petecc's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As pointed out above 75minutes is not a great amount of time if you factor in the pits parking debacle that occurs at Brum. Both Wolves and Brum are planning to run MDL teams this year, plus challenges and the Prem Junior League at Monmore. Im not even sure there will be enough available dates without the inevitable call offs due to curfews/weather/lack of willing riders. -
Armadale Devils v Berwick Bullets (Friday 7 May 7.30)
Sings4Speedway replied to edmon's topic in National League Speedway
Ive never been a fan of double headers and have often seen the second meeting get second billing and secondary levels of respect BUT i can fully appreciate that financially it makes a lot of sense, time will tell with the couple of stand alone meetings that teams are planning to run but i fear that the numbers could be way below what is required to run teams individually. -

The balance when running double headers is generating enough interest to keep people staying behind to watch the second meeting. If there are two matches that serve up plenty of entertainment then the night looks value for money, if the NDL team was getting bashed every week it becomes a harder sell for both products at a higher price. -
It is an odd photo and looks like they are looking at another photographer. That said 6 out of 7 suits by the same manufacturer is a rarity these days.

Kent Eastboune Mildenhall Leicester (were higher but loss of Halder has big impact) Belle Vue Berwick Armadale Newcastle After the chance to have a little re-think and looking at the improvement just made with Couzins in for Bursill and potential other proactive movements (Len hates a losing team) im going to plump for Kent to topple Eastbourne. It will take a little fortune in both fixtures but Kent do have two number 1's, Ledwith has got his silly falls etc out the way and if he shows some dedication could easily put 2 points on his average. The rest is solid and might just have the composure edge over the Eagles. That said it feels like the title could be decided very early this season.
