  1. Seems to be the Cardiff apologists who are begging for the Belle Vue GP to fail. Shame on them.
  2. Exactly. There is optimism and then there is delusion. This group fall into the second category. Its gone for ever. Accept it and move on
  3. Nothing because it's never going to happen. The site is not for sale as has been clear by Brandon Estates and even it was, restoration will cost millions- money this group simply doesn't have. Coventry Speedway is finished whether people want to hear it nor not
  4. The guy must be wondering why he bothered given the shambolic way Birmingham Speedway has been run since Tony Mole retired
  5. The guy must be wondering why he bothered given the shambolic way Birmingham Speedway has been run since Tony Mole retired
  6. Yet most fans i talk to that have been to Workington say the track is rubbish.
  7. Can't get why anyone would want to see Harris riding in a GP again. He's had enough chances over the years.
  8. Watch the last race of the British Final. Boring Glasgow (or any other track in the UK) couldn't put on anything like that if it tried.
  9. It is at Belle Vue. All of the other tracks in the UK is wouldn't bother with even if I got a free ticket
  10. Says a lot about how the quality of the GP has dropped when the likes of Kurtz are top of the leader board. 20 years ago he'd have been a middle order 2nd division rider at best
  11. And how long is that likely to last? Developers wanted to knock Oxford Stadium down before. Only a matter of time before they come knocking again. Same with any other track in the UK. Once a property developer bats his eyelids at a speedway track, it's game over I'm afraid.
  12. Deluded im sad to say. There's not a chance of this happening. It will cost millions to restore the site - money they simply don't have available. The current climate is not conducive to reopening a Speedway track in the UK.
  13. No thank you. Hell will freeze over before I pick streaming an amateurish production over getting off my backside and actually going to the venue.
  14. Grateful for what? It was dreadful year after year after year. Not one decent moment has ever come out of it
  15. If they were stupid enough to plan going to Cardiff then they get no sympathy from me. I hold that place responsible for the damage that's been to speedway credibility in recent years.
  16. Good riddance. No sympathy for anyone that bought tickets and hotels for that disgraceful event. The day speedway stood up for itself and gave Wales miserable hole in tbe ground what it deserves
  17. Won 1 world title completely on default. Might have been good on the trick track that was Monbore, but couldn't complete a lap anywhere else with falling off
  18. Brilliant news and long overdue that the UKs only exciting track joins in the GP party. Let's now hope that the miserable hole in the ground in Wales is empty next August so they finally get the message. Good riddance Cardiff. You've embarrassed Speedway long enough and you won't be missed
  19. Wembley produced good racing without the promoters needing to booby trap the surface to manufacture it
  20. There would be a mad dash for tickets at Belle Vue. Its a brilliant track which is all you need. Nobody is interested in museums, hotels and pubs. They go to speedway for the racing.
