I choose to only go to Belle Vue as it's the only track in the UK that is worth going to. My comment stands though. If I wanted to go to any other track, I would not snub it just to pay a kings ransom just to sit in front of a computer and watch it

If i want to go to a meeting I go to the venue. I will never spend a penny on some cheap and nasty production that's probably as polished as the second rate vcrs thag were being knocked out in the 80s.

Workington proves my point. They closed in 2018 because it wasn't viable, they've tried to reopen and are finding again that it's not viable. Simply not enough people are interested

Simple. Nobody with any sound business acumen is going to invest money into building a new or reopening and old Speedway venue just to please a few hundred punters who can't let the past go. Speedway needs to focus on what it has left now. The likes of Coventry, Swindon and Wolverhampton can argue all they like, but they are living in a fantasy world. They will NEVER reopen. Speedway. Is. Not. Viable.

More delusion im afraid. British Speedway needs to focus on keeping the tracks its got open instead of wasting time trying to reopen ones when the climate is simply not viable to do it. Like Coventry, all noise but they don't have the money and it will never get enough punters to pay it back. Why don't these people just accept their clubs had a good innings, but are now finished and get on with their lives?

Terrible racing and the prospect of the worst rider ever to win the world championship now a depressing possibility.

Another one living in a fantasy world. Football is awash with huge television deals and corporate bigwigs. Speedway does not have that luxury. Coventry have not got got the money to fund restoring the stadium and no prospect of making any money at all even if a miracle happened. Likewise, Wimbledon have not got the money to secure a site, or prospect of turning a profit even if a miracle happened their either. Coventry and Wimbledon are finished. Accept it and move on with your life, cos they ain't coming back.
