  1. Bristol is an amazing city...once had a very good speedway team in a pretty fair stadium. maybe will again one day, who knows. However, staying in Bristol and coaching it to Cardiff sounds a good idea, but not as good as staying in Romford and getting the c2C to Stratford
  2. I have no doubt which is why he needs to get back in to the GP's toot sweet.
  3. I could add Sverre Harrfeldt and Nigel Boocock and that's just 2. Emil is a great rider and will be remembered as such whether he becomes WC or not.
  4. Are you sure?. A number of great riders never won a world title...Igor Plechanov for one.
  5. That it did Philip, that it did and I'm sure you enjoyed the on-track action as much as I.
  6. A GP series without Emil is not a true World Championship in my opinion. He and Tai are the best in the world at the moment and they need to be competing against each other.
  7. Lindbaeck has been impressive this series.
  8. Emil looking good to retain his title. He should be World Champion by now...Next year maybe?.
  9. Last year a Pie 'n' Mash shop opened in York. It shut after 6 months. Nowt as queer as Yorkshire folk.
  10. Hancock 3 Pedersen 3 Gollob 1 Without trawling through stats I can't recall Hancock's and Pedersen's WC podiums, but would not be surprised if they outscored Gollob. The stats don't lie. I'm sure he will but first he needs a GP Challenge top 3 finish or a wildcard.
  11. You would need to have a Speedway GP championship and a Speedway World Championship, otherwise you would have 2 different World Champions...a bit like boxing. The top riders would have to be banned from league racing anywhere and the World Championship would have to be the premier event. But then who would want to ride GP?. The only answer is to scrap the GP and revert to the World Final route, but speedway has moved on and it won't happen.
  12. A cool-bag with some beers and a couple of dozen scotch eggs did the trick. Going for a pee at Wembley meant missing 4 heats
  13. According to my tv guide Eurosport has 5 hours of speedway on tomorrow, starting at 4.45 p.m. Mrs. CHR will be climbing the walls.
  14. Without recourse to stats...how old is he and how many GP's has he ridden?. Time should sharpen up his gating and maturity should temper his rashness. Riding against the best should only spur him on if the natural talent is there. I agree that if the above do not happen he is unlikely to become World Champion, but I feel he will.
