Tofty got filled in coming off turn 3, by the time he cleared his visor he hadnt realised he was heading straight for the inside tape stantion, his bike went straight into the box that holds the flags and either tofty or the bike hit the assistant marshall, glad to say he was up later and not hurt, just read on updates that Jake Allen withdrawn from Spmersets match with,,,,,,,,,,,, a wrist injury

Bandits V Scunthorpe 19/8/17. 7pm
Paul Johnson replied to Normski's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Ryan scored well in his last 2 meetings at berwick, for me Aarnio has to score double figures and Tofty too. 12 a piece, 36pts, just need 10 pts from Josh A and Lewi, gonna go with a draw as Bandits are a different team to when we beat them earlier in the season -
Bloody Hell,, Jake broke his wrist, just our luck,

Really wanted to see Fritz back but now its only one signing i can only see Berge , We nearly signed him when Josh "retired" and we know Rob rates him highly from his Sheffield days. I didnt realise last week Tero scored 13 against a good Glasgow team and that is what you want from a reserve, i guess it would keep Robs liking of a 5 or 6 pt rider at reserve, i also think it wont be a nicholls or kennett as we may have to lose kerr, tofty dougy or auty, As rob said a bit of a freshen up, then go for a big No 1 next year just seen Robs post,,, 6.13 to play with and berge is 6.91

Redcar V Scunthorpe 13-7-17
Paul Johnson replied to RedcarB123's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
“I can’t defend our performance, and it’s made me all the more determined to freshen things up.”,, from Rob on scunnys web page so maybe there are change/s -
being a rearranged match i would of guessed many fans may of made prior plans, coupled with 2 meetings in a week and losing at home again last time, and scunny being a steel town i bet some were on shift work, myself and a friend included, i am guessing the crowd was at its "die hard" fan level?, also reading on here about seeing teams turn up with 2 guests( and one saying not howarth again) may have help decide whether to go or not, rob said on the mic to former promoter ted hornsby that he hates stocks but they make a hell of a lot of money to help run the speedway, ps, 6.30 on a sunday for me due to reason above and you may lose some of those who travel furthur a field trying to get here after finishing work

Josh Auty And The Not 28 Day Ban
Paul Johnson replied to SCB's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Im guessing most if not all these riders MISSED meetings. ie, decided to ride for another team abroad, went grasstracking instead, missed a flight home, where as josh decided to stop riding altogether,,, im also guessing 28 day bans are for the first type and 14 days for joshs case? -
Scunthorpe V Peterborough Koc
Paul Johnson replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The riders agreed to look at the track after some work had been done, surely they could or would of said dont bother rob..you cant blame him for the rain lasting longer than predicted, you could argue the fact if boro were 8 in front would they so keen on a rain off? but as it turned out both teams didnt fancy it. -

If scunny did want to ride and panthers didn,t. does it then go to the ref to decide?. not certain but if we thought it was ok couldnt we have sent a rider out to show it was? -
Scunthorpe V Peterborough Koc
Paul Johnson replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
there was heavy rain on friday night and the track was flooded, rob did say that after the 8 hr amatuer meeting they were working on the track upto midnight, maybe why the track today was sludgy underneath? just one downpour too many?
