Bt Sports Costs
SCB replied to sportmaniaphotos's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Of course it's a good deal. Who the hell knows what BT will be offering in 11.5 months time? Or that BT and Sky won't have come to an arrangement and BT will be included in the Sky package. Or BT would will have gone bust. Or I'll have had enough of the sport so don't give a damn. It's a good deal as for now I'm paying less for broadband, phone and BT sport than any other company will offer broadband and phone. I've been thinking, Pooles team is rubbish. I mean in 50 years time Brady Kurtz will be 70-odd, Chris Holder 80-odd. Why has Matt Ford signed them now in 2016 because at some point in the future they'll be rubbish. Fool. What a bad deal. -

I'll worry about that then. But I'm sure if I come on the speedway forum and moan like a little bitch about it then it'll change everything - or alternative I could pick up my phone or have a look online for offers and get a good deal. -

They'll all be on the benefits thread on General Discussion moaning about scroungers next! Anyway, BT line rental is £17.99 a month. Look online and you can get BT infinity 2 for £10 a month. That gets you free BT sport for 3 months, after that it's £5 a month (£8 if you want HD) that also includes a £125 pre-paid Mastercard (£125 cash back in old "money"). So I pay over 12 months £282, which works out at £23.50 a month for super fast broadband, phone line and BT Sport HD. You can't get phone line and broadband for that price from anyone else! The next best I could fine was phone and broadband from TalkTalk for £28 (and the speed is not as great) so I'm paying £3 less and I have BT sport! Also, in November when the speedway season ends I can cancel BT sport and save the £8 a month - thats £32 which takes my average monthly cost to BT over 12 months to just £20.83 Now all go and see how much you're paying for your phone line and broadband! Yes before anyone ask you can get cheaper broadband elsewhere £18 from TalkTalk for a start but it's not as fast and you have to have 18 month contracts not 12 month contracts. Shop around a bit and it's actually not anywhere near as expensive as some of you think! I actually bet if you switched to BT and got BT sport you'd save money! Ring Sky having a moan about BT sport and they tend to drop a bit off your bill too - I've actually got the full package (normally £80 for £40 for 12 months). So I'm getting all Sky channels, on demand stuff (including 3D), phone line, broadband, BT Sport all for £68 a month. My parents pay more than that and don't get BT Sport or the movie channels but my mum prefers to moan about the cost rather than switch. -
I got suspended for saying much less (and not breaking any laws). That twit starman posts homophobic comments yet is still here. He can try his usual hising away thing when he's made a fool of himself and can't get out of it but if I were him I'd start talking, before I go to the police about the odious little prick. And yes I'm playing this one out in public on the BSF as thats where he made the comments.
-
Ive called you a dick. You called me worse than a faggot. Just what is "worse than a faggot". And think about this now, homophobia is a hate crime - calling someone a dick while nasty isn't actually illegal.
-
Starman being a dick again. Has he told anyone yet what he considers "worse than a faggot"?

Could It Be The Gp Race Of The Year
SCB replied to OveFundinFan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
All I really know is that this is the scariest speedway race I've ever watched! I had up to this point got 7 out of 8 head to head bets right and needed Woffy to beat Zmarzlik to win £12,500. I nearly had a heart attack when all 4 were within 2 foot on bend 2 of lap 3! Best Speedway GP race? Probably not. One of the top 10, easily. Can I watch it over and over? Yes I can! -
Lets be honest. A bunch of bent, corrupt, thick, and biased retards could never have been expected to see this one coming could they? They lucked out that Swindon didn't blow up spectacularly last year (ie the rider who couldn't give a rubbish got injured a meeting one!) and that Troy was oh so terribly unlucky when a few EFs in a meeting. Or last year would have been as big a cock up too - probably thought, "fluked it one year, we'll do it again".

Typical speedway.Pick date that load of fans were planning to turn up (being a Saturday and early on at the new stadium) and switch it to a Friday in September. Speedway promoters (not just at BV and Cov), STOP CHANGING FIXTURES!

Online coverage is certainly not effecting the Cardiff Devils. Their crowds are thriving at the moment and they're selling out! -
So the UK has clubs racing Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Sweden has Tuesday and Thursday but because Poland wants a few more days we have to put our foot down? How about we realise we're 3rd in the pecking order behind Poland and Sweden and accept if they want a Wednesday then we can't do much about it. If we put our foot down just what do you think will happen? The riders will laugh and say, "Poland pay the money, good bye", like a few others have already done.
-
Who was he last rider to ride PL without having raced CL/NL before? Danny Bird is the only example I can think of. Ok then, "eligible for the NL and never started a season on an average of 5 or more" - stop any older riders blocking places too, not a bad thing.
-
Someone said if you word the rule to force out Davey that'll you're force another rider out. I just worded he rule to force out Davey but not effect anyone else.

It depends if you want the most basic internet deal or the top end one. I'm paying £32 a month for unlimited, fastest internet with £125 cash back. So about £22 a month. In effect £5 a month to go from a 10gb limit to unlimited and 5 times the speed - depends how ouch Internet you're using. But you're right, some some your link is a better offer if all they want if to use Facebook and watch speedway on BT sport. I think we agree that there's some pretty good deals out there atm though. People paying £20 to BT for BT sport are mad! You can get BT sport, Internet and phone for less (or a little more more) with very little effort!
-
"Has to have raced NL prior to 2016 and hold a British passport". How is Mitchell Davey any different to Bradley Wilson-Dean? BWD has a British passport too.
-
For anyone looking at signing up to BT Internet to get free/cheap BT Sport there's currently an offer on Groupon for half price BT Internet and you get a £125 bonus. So in effect your internet is free for a year and after the free months free you only have to pay the £5 a month for BT sport.

2016 Swc Semi's And Final 29/30/july 2016
SCB replied to hyderd's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
They could win it. One of the best 3 riders in the World and two riders who on their day could be top 10 riders. It makes event 1 almost must win as you wouldn't want to risk going to the race off! -

Do keep up Steve, some people have already been doing this I watched a few meetings last season (including the one where Troy Batchelor fiddled his average to allow Swindon to sign Ward!) on periscope. While it's better than nothing, it's not the same level as the bet365 feeds. If you follow enough people on twitter you can find streams for quite a few meetings, or you certainly could late on last season. -
The beauty of £30 for so much speedway is if it gets dull, you can stop watching for a bit and go back later and still get decent value for money.
-
Signing up to Sky TV and BT phone/broadband this week and all you get is free BT sport HD for 3 months. After than for BT Sport HD it's £9.

Im as anti-PC as the next man but the confederate flag has very negative connotations. I could understand if the flag had pre-dated the negative connotations (so White City and Oxford) but in Somersets case the flag has no local connections, it's not "cool" any more so it's unnecessary. If there was a genuine reason for the flag it would be PC but there's not is there? Somerset's used of the flag is all to do with the American Deep South and the rebels there. So why use it? PC bullrubbish is making sure that next year there will be black people nominated at the Oscars. Not removing symbols that only have negative connotations and nothing positive.

So £45 for entry, Saturday night entertainment and camping correct? If so, you can't really fault that and even as an EL snob who lives 180 miles away I'm seriously tempted. Stop at Coventry on the way on the Friday for Bees/Aces too. I wonder if they'll try and avoid a clash with the SWC meeting (or at least too big a clash) so we can try and watch that, somehow!

Visionary you mean, right?
-
The heat leader lists ceases being relevant after the first set of average. Zenghi has probably agreed to sign for someone after the first set of averages.

Get the price right and his could be brilliant. Speedway, tent and beer. What more could the significant other in your life want from a weekend away?!
