What Is The Situation With Wilson-dean?
SCB replied to Filth's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
TBF, the Australian Champion for the last 10-15 years has been mainly British riders (Bunyan, Sarjeant and I think Appleton and Morris have won it too) so it's not just for the people of New Zealand. Hasn't Ryan Terry Daley rode in it too? That said, I do like the fact they're trying to force riders to be British and not something else if they're going to make the most of our youth set-up. -
You have Redcar suffer because of their inability to know the rules. Or You have Somerset suffer because of Redcars inability to know the rules. When you look at it like that, Redcar have to be the team to suffer. They got it wrong. Somerset have done nothing wrong.

I think someone in Redcar has messed up and looked at last months greensheets where Kus was the one above. But Robbo is now the one above Graversen and eligible for the R/R and not Kus.

What Is The Situation With Wilson-dean?
SCB replied to Filth's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
If he's eligible for the NL, then he should be a 3 point PL rider. Yet some how the BSPA/SCB are making things up and apparently giving him an assessed 5 point PL average. -
Correct, he wasn't eligible. Get the 6 points removed and Somerset win.

OK, who has hacked Blazeaways account?!

Cardiff Saturday 9th July 2016
SCB replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Why Newport and not Cardiff? It's near the city centre but the opposite side from the train station. The centre of Newport is currently a crap hole that has nothing at all there to entice you in of an evening so would advise if wanting a drink, stay in Cardiff and get the last train home - you have a couple of hours after the GP so no rush - at worst its £35 in a taxi. That said, there is a whole new massive redevelopment of the city centre happening right now (they have literally flattened half the city centre and re-built it) with loads of new shops, a cinema and restaurants so it's possible by then it'll be more welcoming and less chavvy. Feel free to ask me nearer the time when I'll have tried out the new stuff. But weirdly, for a stupid place, there no pub within stumbling distance. The actual location its self is not the best (ie, take care wander down that road at night, certainly if you're female and alone!). And to call it a Campus is really pushing it. It's a single university building with a single block of uni halls a quarter of a mile down the road with a bingo hall in the middle! As for the train, every 10 minutes or so a train goes from Newport to Cardiff and vice-versa and takes between 15-20 minutes and costs about fiver for a return ticket. GP day the trains tend to be packed full of speedway supporters who are all ready for the GP so the day starts then really! In fact get your in 'Spoons opposite the station before you leave and there usually a few of us in there having breakfast. -

Future Of Scunthorpe Scorpions

Really? It was £7 for PL speedway in 1997. Using an online inflation calculator that converts to £9.41 in today's money. -

Ipswich Witches Vs Rye House Rockets Thurs 9th July
SCB replied to Pob's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
He needs to ride at number 5 so he doesn't lose to his team mate then. And his team mates all told to look behind them in a race and if Gino is behind them they need to shut off and let him have the win/2nd. But I doubt anyone at Ipswich Speedway (and it'd be the same at pretty much any club - look at Proctor/Sheffield) has had this conversation with the riders. -
How the hell is Kyel (sic!) Hughes is on the B draft list and so far down it? Maybe Mark Loram or Andy smith fancy making a comeback too? He's a proven 5 point PL rider so should surely be ahead of the PL 4 pointers like Bowen, Hawkins, Hall and Wilson?!
-
He is not employed and does not have a financial stake in any speedway team. But tbf, even he, if it's a conflict of interest should not be involved.

Is It Time To Re-introduce Tape Touching?
SCB replied to IainB's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Get rid of tapes, do it all with lights and lasers - move and you're excluding (or killed by laser) -
Would have been about 2003, he was riding for Oxford and took out Fisher and Janniro in the middle of the 1st and 2nd bend at Coventry.

I'm not sure about the bit about trashing anyone's name. It's just not Bombers (or Marcels)

Whatever your thoughts on the hearing and if it should be happening, whos wrong etc. Surely anyone can see that it's madness to have a Poole promoter involved in the decision making process?! http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/speedway/piratesnews/13377355.Speedway__Pirates_co_promoter_Pairman_keen_to_avoid_conflict_of_interest_in_Coventry_hearing/

Thats a phenomenal sum of money. Surely £4-5 from each person. Puts many of the bigger clubs to shame.

I dont see how Hughes can guest either. He's not in a PL or EL 1-7 and he doesn't have a 3 point average -
Get a guest regardless, as he's riding for GB.

Pearson going mad because Berwick got back in it to lose by 8. Someone tell him Lambert would have been in 3 of them races 6 races - Berwick got lucky and still lost.
