I don't doubt that. but I think when it comes to track dimensions, the FIM only have guidelines, not rules. They suggest a certain length and a certain track width plus how far back the start line could be. But technically the FIM could agree to a track having a licence even if the start line is right on top of the first bend.
I didn't happen. We said we're believe it when we saw it ans the SWC final in 2013 was not at BV. Come up with all the excuses, and "reasons" you like but it didn't happen.
I've already said I'm pleased it's going to happen, have always said that I just questions we'd get what we were promised and I (and many others) were right.
Whatever happens, they never hosted the SWC final that was promised. So those of us who said it wouldn't happen were right. But the happy clappers won't accept that.
This is something that those who keep mentioned Danno forget. The rules/regulations were different back then to what thy were when Darcy was caught. Darcy will get an 18 month ban if guilty.
Having spent a bit of time reading Glasgow website and facebook I have to say I am massively impressed. If this work fails to capture the Glasgow public imagination the sport in Glasgow is doomed - I don't see what more the new management could have done so far since taking over.
With the amount they're paying for football they're going to have to put there prices up so much for the Sky Sports package that anyone not interest in football is going to see it as poor(er) value for money and not bother. I could never justify sky Sports in the past just for the speedway so God knows how many people will feel the same when they stick an extra tenner on the price to cover the new football deal soon.
Honestly, 45 days to write up a report one someone guilt or not is a joke, I agree. But, the rules allow 45 days, the FIM have used the 45 days before. So it's difficult to criticize it.
Maybe the thinking is the 45 days is to make people sweat, to make the whole process so horrible people don't want to go through it again.
Hardly. There were 22 Aussies/Americans due to ride in the UK this year. Cam Woodward is injured so it down to 21. Of that then we're talking only 2 or 4 probably not get permits. If losing 2 or 3 riders is going to close down British speedway it needs help. That or people need to stop blowing things out of proportion.
You would hope that once the season starts that all riders fixtures are pencilled in so any team changes after that come on a first come, first served basis. If it's not then it would decent into a farce.
You would hope that this is only for meetings already in the fixture list. Any changes/addition then the original fixture "wins" as was the case last season.
Got me my first BSF warning that "incident" did
You know what though, is big a git as he was, Ian Thomas was great for speedway. You had to love him in a weird sort of way.
All the "reports" come from Middlo and Ward though. Hardly fair and balanced reporting. Middlo and Ward put it out there they'll get a phone call in a week, so when they have not heard back in a week they can again bleat about how unfair they have been treated.
