  1. So, kicking out a few Aussies has meant that 1 Brit (Nathan Greaves) and 1 Naturalised Brit (Rusty Harrison) have got jobs. It's working so far
  2. The hashtag #imrickyhavinbrainfittedsoon is quite obviously rude, offensive and something an EL team manager should not be tweeting at a fan.
  3. No I haven't. How have I contradicted myself?
  4. Next time Darcy is in trouble with the [police or speedway officialdom (and his current rate is once every 14 months since becoming a speedway rider) rather than giving him a fair hearing and time to build a case to defend himself the police or speedway officialdom should hold a hearing or court case the next day and punish him. Get it sorted ASAP? The reason time is give so you legal team can make sure everything is done correctly and is fair.
  5. Douglas average 6.84 last season so still didn't get 7 while Doolan got 6.89 last season, again, still didnt get 7. So even not using rolling averages doesn't work for them. Not using rolling averages pushes Sedgemen from 6.99 to 7.05
  6. We know that. But the criteria is an old one. I don't know what you'd make it though. 5.5 is too low if you've been a second string but 6 is high if you've been a heatleader.
  7. It doesn't matter. The criteria is that a rider has to have finished top 4 in a state final, averages 4 in the EL or 7 in the PL. Has Proctor done any of them things? Yes, he got 4 in the EL.
  8. It's last season and last season only. Or once someone gets a work permit they have it for life wouldn't they?
  9. What about https://twitter.com/middlo57/status/561235332671504384 or https://twitter.com/middlo57/status/561240152799215617 Abusing fans is unprofessional.
  10. Why only if he rides EL? The Aussie state final is valid for the PL so the UK EL should suffice for the UK PL If you meet the criteria, you meet the criteria.
  11. Fair enough. Time and a place. Obliviously Darcys ability to pick both are not so good
  12. But isn't everyone having to apply again anyway? And surely Doyle found a way around it, so Fisher can to?
  13. Beat you two it by a minute on the other thread
  14. Apparently Harrison doesn't have a problem - got that form someone who would know. Doesn't mean a thing. Needs more than marriage. Fisher averaged over 7 in the PL last year (and over 4 in the EL) Davies didn't average anything last season so doesn't qualify based on average. He has to qualify based on his state final performances.
  15. Sign a fake for the first week of the season. He cannot sign before the seasons has started but like Steff Nielsen last season can once it has begun.
  16. Which suggests that even as far back as then they were breaking the rules then! They've been doing it for years (as in at least 14 of them!)
  17. Far be it from me to defend Darcy but come on, what guy hasn't done this after a few drinks Even I'm willing to look past this one and see it as a case of, the only mistake he made there was being seen
  18. Which is why it's so amusing that people thought he UKV&I were going to come in, and say, "we're done now. Do as you were before". They have found examples of things being done wrong, things were going to change. It was just a case of how much and how soon.
  19. Bonus points were dropped in 2006 I think. But the 7 point average for Aussies was brought in back in 2001 (Adam Shields and Rusty Harrison come in on 9 in 2000 but then in 2001 Ben Shields, Davey Watt and Scott Smith all come in on 7) I'm just trying to come up with reasons/ideas here. Not saying I necessarily agree with them - as I don't. Anyone who averaged less than 7.00 in 2014 shouldn't get a permit and if that means Sedgement on 6.99 loses out then tough. Saying that, Sedgemen did get 7.06 from all PL meetings in 2014, it's only that rolling averages cuts off his first 4 meetings so he might have a good case - in 2014 he DID average 7.
  20. It's simple. The two minutes go on, and within that 2 minutes the tapes go up. If you're not ready then tough, you're excluded or play catch up using your now wonderfully prepared bit of start gate - not much us if your bike is on it's side as the other enter turn 1 though is it?
  21. Don't get me wrong, I don't disagree with that. Dilger, Konopka, Graversen and many more shouldn't be in reserve in the PL either. But we can't do much about them. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't be kicking out those we can. If we kick out 4 or 5 Aussies and 1 Brit gets a place from it then it's a good thing. I'd happily make it a rule that any rider cannot drop less than their assessed average. I'd even be kind to the bugger and say they can drop up to a point in their first season. Then lets see how mant Konopka etc we get over here!
  22. WOAH, calm down. You're meant to blindly back your promotion. Don't you know how speedway works?! You're not meant to look at the bigger picture, how dare you! Makes me laugh, Rusty Harrison has been mentioned a few times. He Australian and didnt ride in state finals and averaged less than 7. He's not eligible FFS! Just looked, Ash Morris and Adam Ellis fit in perfectly as replacements for Wethers and Campton. No excuses not to use them.
