  1. An increasing number of otherwise fit and healthy young people are suffering heart attacks and it's being linked to energy drinks. The one causing most concern? Monster! If i was a sportsman it'd be the last thing I drink.
  2. I said he got pissed the night before. Not minutes before the GP. Don't forget the GP started at 3pm local time so eve if he stopped drinking at minight that was 15 hours to sober up - even the most lightweight of drinkers will have sobered up enough to appear on the tele and not be pissed in 15 hour (plus the hour and a half it took for him to be on tele)
  3. People on Facebook and twitter saying he'll learn from it. No other top rider had had to get pissed the night before a GP to learn from it!
  4. How is Holder in the rerun? He's just ridden into KK
  5. But he's given an awful lot of us a great laugh
  6. So it wasn't the rain then, it was digging it up yesterday. It's not good enough. Especially as fans are now asking on twitter how to get from Riga to Daugavplis and the GP feed is ignoring them. Why doesn't someone answer them and try and help then?
  7. The ones you had a go at Wouldn't it have been a good idea for BSI to actually arrange some coaches from Riga to Daugavplis?
  8. Well, those "experts" have got this one spot on. Ouch!
  9. rubbish track will suit the Brits. Greg won't like it - unless due to rain they really pack it down and make it super slick in which case it'll suit Greg. All good fun for us for the next 24 hours as we speculate
  10. In part yes. But thats where good presentation works. If you have a great race that has the fans on there feet going mad, having a 10 minute gap while the trackman does some work and playing a big of easy listening mellow music will kill all the atmosphere.
  11. I quite enjoy sitting and watching "good old days" speedway on video and more recently youtube - but in the main, it was as dull, boring, slick, unprofessional and downright crap as it can be these days. But the other half the time it was wild, exciting and controversial - bit like today! The only differences I see are that they had crowds back then and crowds make noise and atmosphere and that will always make people think something is better. Its why we enthuse about Cardiff - its not the racing but the fact there 45,000 of us going mad. Watch it at home with the sound of and it's just another meeting.
  12. Can only repeat what a number of other promoters have said. I dont get it either.
  13. With regards to Roynon/Blackbird I was meaning more by average. They could have made that change without making he other two. But I do expect Adam to make them a bit weaker. As for Hall, probably be ok at home but he's pants away - always has been - always will be. Makes no sense. Then Dilger, I just don't get it.
  14. Roynon would have been a like-for-like for Blackbird while Dilger is only likely to be a like-for-like for Jacobs. Meaning they have in effect brought in Hall for Fisher - R/R is a better option!
  15. Wasn't as good. Averaged about 5.5 in the NL for Newport and retired.
  16. Must admit, despite my moan earlier. I could be tempted out to Aus to watch a GP in October
  17. But that was a lie though wasn't it? Which home riders had done any passing? Vissing on Masters was it. I'll even be generous and allow Cook on Jensen and Kus on Fox.
  18. Its what Phillip Rising posted recently - so as official as it gets at the moment.
  19. A number of EL promoters wanted to drop their prices this season but the PL clubs complained that the fans would complain it was unfair the EL cost the same or less than the PL!
  20. They'll get the end. So they get to see a rider crowds World Champion despite the fact us Europeans have turned up for months paying to see the series - we won't get to see a rider crowned Champion without paying to go to Aus! Great stuff!
