  1. I think to some extent, we should do as Woffy want/asks, the suggestiuon that one man is not bigger than the team is madness. He's a multi-World Champion, he has won more than the rest of the Team GB set up put together and if he says the riders should wear pink underwear and pray the Flying Spaghetti Monster then you do it as it's obviously worked for him. Thats not for the team and the manager to decide tbf. If you want to take your argument to extremes I guess I could go out and shoot all other speedway riders but that would be silly too. I want us to do everything within the rules and laws to win. Trust me, I'd have much rather watched a decent meeting with passing tonight than tonight gate and go yawn fest. But last years final showed that we're capable of competing on a big track with passing. We score 32 with Cook scoring 5 out of 15, he's come on a lot in 12 months. Lambert is probably better than 3 these days too, certainly in a year or twos time anyway. Meanwhile Sweden and Denmark are aging and going backwards without any kids to replace them, the Aussies are not bad TBF and if Kurtz and Fricke do anything they're a threat in a few years time. Meanwhile the Poles, well we all know they're great but on there day, can they be beaten? Of course they can!
  2. It's the World Cup. Frankly if Worrall can't enjoy the fact he score 12 tonight and he's going to the final but in stead dwells on it if he scores 0 and is taken out of his first ride then he's not mentally right to be a top sportsman. And using Worrall was wrong by me. The extra rider would have been King anyway. Personally, I want us to do whatever it takes to win the SWC. Not worry about upsetting a rider because he gets taken out of rides in a SWC Final.
  3. And in the final? Then what? We're now backed into a corner. If we finish a point short and Worrall score 00000 then it'll look like a silly decision
  4. Yes, he was. It gave more options. The same team could have race tonight but having King at 4 being replaced by Lambert meant if a rider was injured or Worrall (or Harris) had struggled King could have been allowed to have his ride while Lambert replaced the struggler. What Rosco did left him with no options.
  5. For editorial reasons I'd like to point out that Team GB were without Tai Woffinden. Not that Pearson cares when he was crying about the Aussies losing and giving excuses "for editorial" reasons. What a twit he is.
  6. Worrall has a higher away average than King has at home or away!
  7. So Rosco hasnt use King in the team because if the team did too well he wouldnt be able to use Robert Lambert.
  8. Yes. In simple terms, if gate 1 wins every race, ever rider will win at least one race. Theres many combinations for it to happen.
  9. Just not seeing it personally. At home Kennett and Perks are good for the best part of 17 points between them. Can you see Sedgmen and Barker doing that? OK Robbo will get a couple more so they need 15. Not going to happen. Now I know you'll argue that they may lose a couple at home but they'll gain a couple away but that then means that the 2 close home meetings they had become losses and the few big away losses become only slightly big away losses. I could understand if they kept scoring 44 or 41 away everywhere, they need a couple more point to get over the line but they're not. Speedway, IMO, is about keeping your fans happy, that means winning your home meetings. Anything away is a bonus for the 3-4% of your fans that do go away from home.
  10. Thats Howarth. Goes through good and bad spellls. Just keep your fingers crossed the good spell is during the play-offs and you're laughing.
  11. I don't have a clue what the BSPA are doign with averages for anyone this season. In the past I could at least try and understand the rules but this year there don't seem to be any! But KK hasn't
  12. I like being a rebel plus technically, Fricke replaces Doyle anyway, I was just confirming I was happy with that
  13. Surely it's more a case of which of them is more likely to want to sign for Swindon? And maybe they got Bellego on the cheap?
  14. I'll take Fricke in place of Doyle please.
  15. I'll go with the following please. 2 Vaclav Milik © Res Eduard Krcmar (U21) 1 Ricky Wells © 2 Gino Manzares 1 Jason Doyle 4 Troy Batchelor 2 Craig Cook © 4 Robert Lambert 1 Fredrik Lindgren © 2 Antonio Lindback 1 Andrzej Lebedevs © 2 Maksims Bogdanovs 1 Kenneth Bjerre 4 Niels-Kristian Iversen © 1 Emil Sayfutdinov © 2 Grigori Laguta
  16. Kennett may have served them well in the past but last week he went longtracking rather than riding for them.
  17. Funny you should that, I commented to my dad how crap BV looked with a car park in the background when there should be a bloody huge board up with sponsors logos all over it.
  18. It's weird how when the SEC first started a lot of us were pretty, "meh" todwards it and the Poles loved it. Few years on and the Poles just don't seem to give a rubbish about it looking at the crowd.
  19. Perks has had a great season. I can only assume he's a victim of the numbers game.
  20. http://speedway-stats.co.uk/RiderForm/10/2017/1 Mine. Not totally current, about 10 days old now.
  21. Just thinking, this weekend I'll try and run stats that show how often a rider is missing but is riding in another meeting on the same date. That'll show missing double uppers.
  22. I did. And again I agree. What Leigh did for Swindon, and how much of a machine he was for them even in his last season was immense. He and Crump were something else at league level. The fact that with Crump and Adams we always used to say at Coventry getting a 3-3 out of heats with them guys was a good result says it all. I remember getting a 4-2 over him at Blunsdon in heat 15 of the 2007 play-off final and seeing at as a huge win because you worried if he hated with his team mate it was a 5-1 you were not stopping. I'll always have that 1st and 2nd bend by Nicholls to let Harris get away for the 4-2 down as one the best 1st/2nd bends I've ever seen, just because it was against Adams!
  23. Agreed. Frickes doing a great job. Like Steve Worrall is headline figure doesn't look outstanding but look at his away average and he's having a smashing season. The BV riders figures really donsuggest that they just have very little home track advantage which doesn't help their riders get big scores. God no. I enjoyed watching Leigh, more Leigh Adams' is no bad thing at all! I just wouldn't list him in "greatest" riders.
  24. I don't track reason for a sense. I just did a count of the number of riders in each meeting who took at least one ride. Then I did the same but removed any riders who were not oh the teams declared 1-7 at the time.
