NSSC have a quiz every year and one of the round is identifying riders from photos, mostly 80s and 90s and I get about 95% of them right. Styles, colourful kevlars, all sorts, riders are quite distinctive in recent times if you pay any attention.

Cardiff Gp Car Parking
SCB replied to james1234's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Bit stupid to drive 20 minutes past Cardiff and have limited trains. At least stopping at Newport you're 20-30 closer to home and every train going to Cardiff passes through Newport. TBH I'm not sure why you would park in Newport when you can park in Cardiff anyway. -

I didn't think there was any criticism of any riders, just Roscos tactics. -

So why isn't he? Balls is it the points limit. It's because of Poland. -

No it's not. You really think Lynn would have signed Holder if Puk was available? Puk has been making noises for years about possibly not riding over here. -

People saying yesterday is worrying for the Danes forget that in 2013 Sweden finished 4th in event 1 but then won the title in 2015! -

While people sit on here disrespecting the Latvians you'll all do well to remember they finished ahead of GB and Sweden in the World Cup about 4 years ago. They're hardly one meeting wonders. As for the suggestion that Saturday was bad because of the riders in the meeting, Saturday was bad because it was at Kings Lynn that's been a dull, one line, no passing track for at least 5 seasons now. -

USA who were racing NL teams last week are better than Denmark 😂😂😂😂 -
Exactly. Woffy the Aussie, Lambert the German, Adam the Frenchman. Get Rory in the team too and we've hardly got a Brit riding for us
-
And just wait fir the first Barker last place or being passed in a race. Listen to him shout at himself and hit bikes. The guy hates losing! If only all riders did!

I think thats where things started to fail for me. I remember going to Coventry up to about 2008 and after a meeting we'd go in the bar, there was a DJ playing music, most of the riders would be in there and while I wasn't one for chatting to the riders myself it meant there were quite a few people in their having a laugh and a good time. This was slowly killed off over time - Mick Horton wasn't interested in doing it as it didn't make him any money (how short sighted!) and it died a death. I remember a few times leaving the stadium at 1 and 2 am after having more than a few beers afterwards. The club encouraged riders in by providing them with a buffet and we'd always go and finish it when the woman at the counter told us they were done A speedway meeting was only half of the night, the rest was spent in the bar with friends. Celebrating in the bar after winning the title in 2010 was another good night. Matt Ford had lost the champagne so the riders went to the bar and bought champagne and sprayed it all over the bar Apparently Matt Ford wasn't happy his carpet was ruined

Crumpy is British! I always justified my support of him in the GPs because he was the GP rider born closest to where I was. At Cardiff he was the "local" really, nobody else whos ridden in a GP at Cardiff has been born closer!
-
Some of you have no SOH If Woffy is an Aussie then Adam is French I think was the humorous "point" being made
-
Only 2 were. And as the rules said you had to have an U21 rider it was always likely going to be the case one of them was. Still think the draft was mostly a good thing though, even if they got it a bit wrong. Had Rosco had Lambert in reserve, as he should have done, then it would have only been Worrall from the draft

Because he's deleted all the tweets from Saturday night.

Doesn't bother me at all. Does it bother you when people post statements of fact on an internet forum answer a question someone has been asking for a long time? -

One thing I did see, and answering one of your questions, he DOES have an Aussie passport. Or at least he tweeted he does. -

Id say you had a point if they had tweeted him/tagged him but it was people talking a bout him being missing and criticising him. He then went crazy on them. Maybe he shouldn't search his name? It was as if he went looking for trouble. -
While I agree with him, I have a huge deal of sympathy with him etc etc. I'm not sure the image he has picked for his go fund me page is exactly going to endear the SCB to him Also weird how he cant say the sport is run by monkeys but Middlo can get away with all sorts over the years! But he was only slagging off the fans

You have another one whos good at it at Ispwich these days, Rory Schlein. I remember him once almost literally stopping the bike on the last bend to block Travis McGowan to get Ricky Wells into 2nd. All the more remarkable as it would have been June or July and I don't think Ricky had managed a single 2nd place at that point in the season and was averaging about 1! Coventry needed two 5-1s to draw so had he not done it, we'd have lost (as it was Adams won heat 15) Sorry Redcar fans, bit off topic!
-
Always did it when he was with the Bees, even with more senior team mates! Certainly NOT a selfish rider on track where his team are concerned. Just another reason I love watching Ben, goes guns blazing for a win but will cover his team mate as and when.
-
More interestingly someone tweeted about Ben not being great for team spirit and Ellis liked the tweet I see they're now paired at 3 and 4 too
-
Jorgensen is better than Sedgmen. You hardly missed out not getting Sedgmen
-
Kennett scored 0 last time so at least Barker doesnt have to do much to be considered an imporvement then!
