Leicester Lions Vs Swindon Robins 17/07/17
SCB replied to The Observer's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
No, a team manager who put a reserve in heat 8 allowing you to go 10 up and into TR territory. Should have left him out of that one, only been 6 up, no TR and then the reserve goes in heat 14. Then failed to tell your reserve in heat 9 to fit behind the Swindon rider so you were only 9 up, meaning no TR in heat 10. Your team manager was totally inept tonight. -

That and the nice people at Skybet offering Riss as meetings top scoring at 10/1. As a result I've seen a great meeting and won a fortune. If Carlsberg did Monday nights! -

Newman rode into another rider Pawel rode into/was ridden into Batch was ridden into Nilsson rode into another rider That leaves Adam Ellis as a rider who lifted but was that the track or the rider? No other riders appeared to struggle. -

Have there been any crap meetings on Sky/Eurosport/BT Sport in the last 2 season? It's been two good season IMO. Proof that the core sport, 4 riders doing 4 laps is as great as it's ever been - it's the politics that are killing it! -

but you're suggesting the rule reads as... "Where a heat is stopped, the Referee shall disqualify the rider, -who in his/her opinion is the primary cause of the stoppage -has indulged in foul -unfair -dangerous or reckless conduct thats jeopardised the fair chance of an opponent" That's just stupid and makes no sense. Clearly all the clauses are linked. -

No he didn't. Pawel hitting the fence caused the stoppage. Riss didn't "indulged in foul, unfair, dangerous or reckless conduct thats jeopardised the fair chance of an opponent" because his opponent was behind him. -

How is Riss excluded? Pawel is NOT an opponent. -

Now Rosco is being stupid. He has to give Morris the TR surely?! -

More diabolical team manganese from Lynch. Should have gone with 1 rider in heat 8, his team are now 10 up and Swindon will a TR. instead he'll probably have to go with 1 rider only in heat 14 -

Was just thinking that. They appear to have done a decent job of rectifying the bad job they did in the first place. Now a wide track but still dull to watch so far. Hopefully it picks up. -

Agreed. Shocker of a decision. Thankfully Newman was well out of it in the rerun. -

It's a start but social media is a two way thing. Clubs sending out a tweet it NOT social media utilization. They have to respond to people tweets. Try tweet one of the clubs twitters and see if you get a response, you're more likely to be blocked as numerous people have found. I swear the BSPA have more people blocked than following them. Kings Lynn blocked me too. -

I love Porky but for every me who loves him theres another who seems to hate him. -
I don't see why not. The only limitation as far as I'm aware is a rider cannot be brought back in within 28 days of being dropped. He was dropped on the 30/6 so can be brought back in on 28/7. It would allow Rye to bring in a Championship 3 pointer or a 3.33 Premiership rider for Branford. So Ayres, Clegg or Sarj look best options. And Sarj is out due to the clash with Workington on a Saturday but saying that I'm sure I read Rye have very few Saturdays left so who knows? Ayres is probably the best option anyway.

In a straight choice between Woffy or Rosco then I'm afraid it's Woffy. And I say that as someone who if I ever found myself with enough money (and having lost my marbles long enough) to buy a speedway club Rosco would be one of the first I'd ring to be my team manager/promoter. But in the SWC Final we score 15. Woffy would score that on his own, on the right day he could score 18-21. Rosco isn't going to score that is he? Even if he's super motivational. Woffy will also know how to get the best out of at least some of the other riders, he's done it for himself. He took himself from 7 point EL man to World Champion in a winter, why can't he do similar to King, Cook, Worrall etc? OK not World Champions but certainly get a lot more out of them. Theres a lot I don't like about Woffy but you CANNOT ignore what he says about how to win.

Cardiff Gp Car Parking
SCB replied to james1234's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The park and ride is crap. A few years back I managed to get out of the meeting, walk home, shower and walk back into town and the queues were still huge. May as well park in town, there's enough car parks and spaces. Just don't turn up at 4.30 trying to park! -
The referee didn't stop the race. The riders pulled up. The referee then stopped the heat which IMO he shouldn't have done. I was at Somerset vs Berwick in about 2005 where the riders all pulled up but the referee let the race carry on, eveually thry realised and the winner won in a time of 85ish seconds compared to the usual 57ish seconds at Somerset. I've seen riders excluded for crossing the white line and silencers coming off where the start guy just uses his black flag and lolly pops but the race continues. No need to stop the race.

Cook, Schlein, Harris, Worrall, KK, Starke, Kerr, Ellis, Newman and Ayres. I've only included riders who have done 6 meetings. And I'd suggest Throssells home/away average is more biased towards hone than average but it's not excessive. Edit- I see I was beat to it! -

Hope Przedpelski has a shocker. Still can't get over dropping a young Brits who's been struggling for a bit of form due to injury to bring in a Pole who is struggling for form and will be off as soon as he's scoring points.
