Steve Jones must be nudging 35 if not more. He rode for Camarthen in the past as well as the Newcastle Gems. in fact I think he even had a few PL meeting for Newcastle, we're talking 15ish years ago and I'm sure he wasnt young then.

Robert Lambert Mouthing Off In The Star. Oh Dear.
SCB replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Nobody has said they want him to fail. People are upset because they think he's going to do really well but it wont be for GB. As for those saying he can ride for Germany, he can't, you ride for the country who issue you your passport. It's GB or no-one for Robert. -
2014 Speedway Gp Predictions
SCB replied to waiheke1's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
1 Tai 2 Ward 3 NKI 4 Hampel 5 Nicki 6 Zagar 7 Holder 8 Bjerre 9 Harris 10 Hancock 11 KK 12 Jonsson 13 Batch 14 Lindgren 15 Smolinski I've got Holder in 7th but I think it'll be a close to 1st. I honestly don't see much between the top few. I expect Smoli to be the lowest average scorer per GP ever -
Robert Lambert Mouthing Off In The Star. Oh Dear.
SCB replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Regardless of all the rights and wrong here, the BSPA/SCB/Rosco/Morris should be sitting down in a meeting with Robert and his parents and sorting this out. If our kids are pissed off with the authorities then the top guys must be too. Get it sorted. -
Regarding Harris - he'll probably be last out of the gate regardless of the gate stats. And if I had to have a duff gate against anyone make it Bunyan who frankly, any GP rider should be able to pass. Gate 1 could give you 30 metres and Bunyan should still finish last!

Already planned to do this

Robert Lambert Mouthing Off In The Star. Oh Dear.
SCB replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
The blame for this lies more with his parents than Robert. Why are they letting him mouth off to the press? Hopefully a few more years experience, calming down a little and he'll change his mind. He has to remember that when he's riding for Team GB he's not doing it the BSPA he's doing it for Great Britain, his country. And what better way to stick two fingers up at the BSPA than to win the British under 21 title? -
Because not everyone wants lots of money and to be "middle class" are are quite happy working in good, honest hard working jobs. There is nothing wrong with being happy as a rubbish man, a shop assistant or a truck/van driver. None of them will ever be middle clash or rich but they are doing important jobs.

Peterborough Panthers Vs Somerset Rebels Lc 1/4/14
SCB replied to Panthers89's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
As pointed out by a few others a few times, the thing with Ales is he relies on his gating. He'll not get much if any more than 6 in the PL and he'd probably struggle for 8 in the NL too but can score 3 or 4 in a GP. -
C'mon, its the whole point of April fools days. People wake a twit of themselves, people laugh. You realise you've been had a laugh too. Everyone has a laugh and everyone is happy. Sometimes you have to laugh at yourself, if you don't you're bloody boring and/or shouldnt be laughing at others.

Maybe if those on minimum wage and from deprived areas (and isn't all of Wolverhampton deprived? ) got off their arse, maybe got themselves educated, they could be the next middle class. *For the record my post is not to be taken serious.

NUS cards do exist. I got one about 6 weeks ago. Great thing. I would imagine that any uni/college ID would be acceptable.

Scunthorpe Stags Vs Kent Kings (nl) - Sunday, March 30th
SCB replied to lucifer sam's topic in National League Speedway
At least with Chessell scoring well the home fans could know they played a part in his development. He was atr the Wayne Carter mini-track session when I was there about 4 years ago (along with Max Clegg) - if only I'd stuck at it -
Premier League Absences And The New Elite Priority Rule
SCB replied to oldtimer's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Barker is a Coventry asset so Plymouths PL meetings take priority. The only reason he was due to miss Friday and did miss yesterday is that they were challenge meetings so the official meetings take priority (unless Rye House are involved - God knows how that one works!) -
Premier League Absences And The New Elite Priority Rule
SCB replied to oldtimer's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Ben Barker will miss no PL meetings. What is a joke is that tonight at Eastbourne Barker can ride for his EL club rather than his PL club but Kennett has to ride for his PL club. There no consistency. I accept the PL takes priority over the EL, thats the rule but how the hell does a PL challenge take priority over an EL meeting for Kennett? -
Are you kidding? He beat a Latvian (who everybody except Dilger beat!) and Sayfutdinov. He was poor. Yes he flailed around a bit but he has no track craft.
-
Cook was riding for Edinburugh - a little more important than an open meeting in Poland. Best thing us Holder/Ward are leading the series but they'll not be in the next round!
-
Even by the final they hadn't grasped it. They were convinced one rider would go for the win while another would go for 3rd FFS, we'd just seen Holder and Ward make the final with a 2nd and 3rd in the semi!
-
More like stupid riding from Nicki!
-
Would make it interesting if the riders could wear head sets and have a spotter up there!
-
I have no problems with the meetings but don't lie about them. Comparing them to past World Pairs Titles is lies and fraudulent - maybe thats acceptable on mainland Europe but it's not in the UK.
-
LOL at that press release referring to the old World Pairs Title. THIS IS NOT A WORLD TITLE. It's a made up title. There nothing to stop me promoting a meeting in this country and calling it the best pairs and doing the same.
