Gp In Auckland 2012
SCB replied to Bradford Ace's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Who the hell said odds on was at home? How do you know he's not walked the track and talked directly with a rider who's competing? Giving him a much better idea if things than you! As for me being at home, that may be the case but as someone who has watch every GP on tele (if I've not been their live) I have a good enough knowledge of Ole track prep style. Hell Ole himself has admited in interviews himself he likes to prep a track so it's packed down and slick but what does he know about how he prepares a track when you can tell us all?! -

If Odds On is still connected with who he was in the past, I'd say he has spoken to someone who has ridden the track. Lets be honest, Ole loves a nice slick track so it wouldn't be a surprise to any of us at home! -

Must admit, I did think it could be amusing if a Red Bull rider won a GP -
Monster Energy Sponsorship
SCB replied to emerald tyke's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
A few days back the Monster website had a huge photo of Tomasz Gollob on the front page. Sadly the sport and none of the sponsored riders are listed anywhere -
TBF, If I had heard that Mike Bowden had tried to replace me with Leigh Lanham I'd have told him where to shove his team place too.
-
I'm with you, it made no sense to me either but it was the point that Devildodger was trying to make.
-
He didn't turn up!
-
The point that you've missed is that Cory would have shorter to travel than Leigh Lanham would do.

Shawns (David Easts) debut was for Hull against a Ray Wilson select. Shooey replaced his brother with Graham Drury going into the team and Shawn (David) dropping to reserve. He won his first race on his way to 8 from 5 (I think). This was the back end of 1979. The week after he rode in a 4TT for a USA select vs a Hull, Sheffield and Exeter select scoring 6 from 5 with a race win. I only know this this because I (Shawn) sat down with Shooey the dog to watch the Shawn Moran DVD a couple of nights ago

Nz Grandprix Live On Sky ?
SCB replied to BomberHammer's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Don't forget that the GP is on at 4am in the morning, so it will be the start of your birthday, not the end. The GP will be on Friday night/Sat morning. -
Pg Tips? I drink that less than I drink Monster. Tesco Value Tea for me! I don't get the moaning either tbh, as sponsor go it's pretty big and Monster don't just tend to pump cash into things, they bring in big marketing teams and play the dnager aspect - something speedway needs to do.

Gp Qualifier Berwick 16/6

QED. Greg Laguta didn't ride in a single GP last season. His brother Artem did. -
No but by the end of the year Pedersen was 6.58. Neither Fisher or Barker will get that this year. Pooles issue in 2009 was not being top heavy but Bjarne Pedersen losing 2.5 points from his average. Poole did alright the years they had Rickardsson and Adams.
-
TBF, 2009 Holder and Pedersen in the EL is not in the same class as 2012 Fisher and Barker in the PL. You're comparing an 8.5 and a 6.5 rider with a 9.5 and a 10 point rider.

Gp Qualifier Berwick 16/6

I've been going long enough to know Eddie Kennett can't hack it outside the UK and that Greg Laguta is one of the top 10-15 riders in the World. Believe it or not, speedway doesn't just take place in Blunsdon or even the UK. LOL. -

Firstly we're talking speedway today, not in 1936 or some obscure year.Secondly I'm willing to bet I could hold my own in a speedway quiz with Sidney going back as far as you like. -

But fact trumps your opinion and there are 8 + 3 places for qualifiers and then 5 for wild cards. Of you list of, "Batchelor, Schlein, Pawlicki, Janowski, Sundstrome Miedzinski Kennett, Vaculik" how many of them have made the final of the GP qualifers but list out there? I think it's only Miedzinski has made it. As for your suggestion of Kennett, that shows how poor your knowledge of speedway is. In fact, even more so is that you have not listed Greg Laguta if you're going to cherry pick riders. -

Because realistically, if he finishes 9th he is one of the top 15 riders in the World and thats what should be in the GP series every year. People moan about Bomber always getting wildcards but people seem to ignore the fact he is probably one of the top 15 riders each season. People seem to think if you don't make top 8 you should not be in and 8 other random riders should replace them, they seem to be oblivious to the fact that it's possible that the top 15 riders in the World could potentially be the same 2 years running. Lets be honest, it's unlikely that the top 15 riders in the World will change greatly from seasons to season, theres probably only ever 4 or 5 riders at most who change each season and thats about the same number of changes made to the GP riders each year. What?! You owe me a new laptop as I just spat my tea over mine. You're claiming the GP is a closed shop and then moaning about a rider in the latest GP series who actually qualified! LOL -
Exactly but 12 months ago the Plymouth fans were predicting 5 and 6 point averages. Which was a laugh as they were both 6.5 rider with Exeters advanatage in their last PL seasons about 6 years ago. Mark did well to get 4.5, I said 12 months ago he'd get 4.5, while you lot all predicted 5 and 6 for him and Seemond.
-
Plymouth fans have not learnt. I thought Seemond and Simmonds were going to get 5+ last year? didn't even get 5 between them! The PL is a lot harder than the NL! Nicki will do well to get 4.5
-
I think you'd find that you could go into most pubs and get a Monster. I think as companies go, they're pretty big. Also agree it's bloody horrible stuff, as is Relentless and Red Bull.
-
Rubbish. That Plymouth top 3 would wipe the floor with the Somerset top 3. Not one of the Somerset riders would beat the Plymouth top 2 with any regularity.
-
I would have thought with that top 3 there would be very few TR's. They'd score about 38 points a meeting between them, then there would be the gifted points in heat 2, 8 and 12 or 14 making 41. You only need the bottom 4 to score 5 real points. I could see this team doing quite well.

Is devildodger always like this or is he on drugs?
