Kings Lynn World Cup 9 July

Is that the first time Middlo has scored 6 from a joker in the SWC? He normally screws up, it's about time he got it right. -

As the race was completed, no. It's far too complicated to explain. -
Serious advise this time. Pop into a pub before hand that is advertising Sky, as them if they'll put it on. In my experience as long as they're not averting another sport they'll let you have the speedway on - especially if you say you'll have a meal and/or a few drinks.
-
Even with a 3 man team we'll see off anything the Czech or Germans throw at us. Must admit, I'd prefer they stayed away from Kennett - He's not good enough now and he never will be. At least Barker, Auty, Roynon, Mear etc stand a chance of being capable in a few years time,
-
Really? If we finish 2nd in the first meeting, 3rd should be a given in the race-off as a minimum given that we will have beat the Czechs and the Germans at Lynn, we should be able to beat them in the race-off too. Do you honestly think the Czechs/Germans will be a threat to us in the race-off?
-
My point on replacing Puk was to illustrate that nobody could/should be dropped. MJJ is going nowhere, before the nominates/scorers races he had the same as Puk, swap their scorers races and they'd ahve probably done about the same. Means one of Mikkel or Madsen for the chop and Madsen is one of the top guys in the World this year - he's stepped things up. I guess it'd a choice of Nicki or Mikkel so Nicki probably gets the nod over him but it's damn hard on young Mikkel. As for our chances, 2nd to the Aussies, 3rd in the race off some way off 2nd.

The Danes have it, now the Russians, no the Poles, no the Russian, hang on, the Poles may sneak this. I think at some point in that race everyone was first and everyone was last and every nation but the Americans were in with a chance of at least a run off. I think that race had everything. Now lets hope the final is decided in the same way and it's with the Brits doing a Russia! And the Americans actually did quite well, fair play to them. And what do the Danes do now? I'd stick with that team, if anyone has to go it's Puk though TBH, the kids did good!
-
So Hamill was used to show the kids what you can achieve. I'd image the kids will look at how young Ricky Wells is Americans 2nd highest scorer and got taken out of a ride while the old guy was given all his rides despite not really being good enough. Bit of an own goal from the American management.
-
I don't. It was always going to happen. More fool him for trying. Exactly. You should always replace your worst rider with your best as a joker in the SWC. ALWAYS. Yet team managers seem clueless to this year after year.
-
So another heat leader who's fallen out with Denham. Can be keep one for longer that 18 months?
-
Hands up, who thought Poland would be last at this stage and USA 2nd? I'd say we know it's going to change but I didn't expect it at this point. Time for the Polish engines to be changed?!
-
And who have he Americans got? Wells and Ingalls. Auty and Worrall trump them already and Ingalls is 25 so not exactly going places. I've already said we're behind the Poles, Swedes, Danes, Aussies and even the Russians potentially but there is absolutly no way we have to fear the Americans just yet.
-
Tips the titles he way of the Poles now.
-
Steve Johnson? Wrong Aussie, this is Rusty Harrison

Was just about to say, if I had to pick my ticket up on the day I'd be kicking off until I got my £5.50 back. Ticket handling and postage fees are a rip off. -
No way! Hancock may be better than anything we have but after that, well... Fisher on a good day vs King yes. Wells? Bwahahaha! And Hamill will do well to pick up a point a ride in the SWC proper, he didnt actually be anyone of note in the qualifier. After than what do they have? I can't see Hamill making this a regualr thing, Ingalls and then....? We're miles ahead of the Americans, we could put out a B-team of Barker, Bridger, Allen and Kennett that would beat the Americans.
-
I know one person who will be happy! Just looking at the Russian team and suddenly, they look a pretty solid outfit. Compare them to where they were 10 years ago. Emil can and does beat anyone and everyone, while Greg Laguta is a top guy in the Swedish and Polish leagues (watch the Brits start demanding their club sign him because of a good SWC performance having never realise how good he actually is), his little brother isn't bad either, you can't be bad to actually qualify for the GP series! And Roman Povazhny can make the odd gate and always seems to have a good World Cup. Not quite winners yet but they're better than what we have to offer, sadly. We're pretty much 6th in the World now (Poland, Aus, Denmark, Sweden, Russia all ahead of us)

Gorzow Gp Saturday 23rd June

The figures Harris has been quoting as having spent on bikes this season are astronomical. He must be up to 80-100k by now. Not the action of a guy who has no money! -
Transponders would be of a great use for track jumped starts.
-
Swim? Without driving it's going to be a pain. I did try and organise a mini-bus a few years ago but only had about 6 people interested. I don't think trains are a viable option.

I've been saying most of the season, nobody seems to want the title, they're all throwing it away. -

2 weeks ago Cardiff hosted the World sailing Championships. How do I know? They advertised it. Did you know about it up in Berwick? If you had seen a poster would you have attended? How many people do you think seeing it advertised would have travelled from Berwick? Now how many Cardiff residents do you think strolled along? Also, it's not a National event if we're being picky, it's an international event. Maybe they should advertise it in New Zealand and China too, you know, just in case someone sees it an attends. It's no good spending £X to advertise nationally if you only earn £X/2 back in sales. Yet by targetting a specific audience (speedway fans via the star and locals with adverts on local tele) your advertising will get a greater return. Point is, despite the moaning, in the weeks leading up to Cardiff they DO advertise and to the right people. It'd be stupid top advertise to the people in the north 3 months in advance, targetting locals in the week or two before the event is a much better idea.
