Ricky Kling, can score 0 one day, 15 the next, 8 the next, 0 the next... I'm sure you can see where this is going. He's just so inconsistent.

Well Jawa used to be owned by Skoda who are owned by Volkswagen/Audi. It's probably BMW now! -
Cardiff Parking: 20-20 Problem
SCB replied to barncooseboy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The stadium has a capacity of 72,000 so I doubt there will be any problems with the 40,000 speedway fans plus the cricket fans. -
Cardiff 2012 Entertainment
SCB replied to bingbangbong's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I'd be forever naming names as there's so many. If you like walkabout then go for O'Neils. Walkabout is at the bottom of the street with a massive number of clubs, just walk up the road, you can't fail to find a club. We're talking Cardiff here, not some little village. If you want a list, use google as frankly every other club in Cardiff is better than Walkabout. There are apparently between 50 and 60 bars/pubs/clubs on that road alone. More if you want to go looking. -
Team Gb V Team Australia Test Match - 1st August 2012.
SCB replied to Bomo1's topic in International World of Speedway
Or for once Middlos rating of a rider is spot on. Simon Stead is not and never will be the answer for Team GB. -

Stand outside Walkabout and look around you. You'll see about 15-20 places straight away. I really dont understand why people go to Walkabout, it's boring, bland and generally crap in every way. It doesn't okay any specific genre of music either so it can't be for that. And if Trees is right people go to get closer to speedway riders then WOW! -

If Walkabout in Cardiff is th best you have found I feel sorry for you. There are 100's maybe 1000's of places that are better than Walkabout! -
Bristol Coach To Cardiff Gp
SCB replied to website_bbbs's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Or for £11.30 you can leave Temple Meads on a train at 11.20 and be in Cardiff while the coach is still traveling around Bristol at 12.20! Cost you £3.70 less, you get to Cardiff 2 hours earlier. In that 2 hours you can search for me, buy me a pint and STILL have saved time and money. You also get a hour or two in Cardiff after the meeting if you wish to catch a later train too and not have to rush back for the coach (only to find you have to sit and wait for 45 minutes as some selfish git will always turn up back at the coach late) -
Croatian Gp Gorican 28th July

It certainly seems that many. It's certainly been a stupidly high number. -
British Grand Prix 2012
SCB replied to willstaxi's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Having say top, middle and bottom I thought the bottom was the worst, the middle the best and the top just a tiny bit below the middle but it's certainly not worth paying extra for middle especially as if you buy cheap tickets you can sit where you like anyway! -
Even if he reports he's not getting paid he still gets a 28 day ban (ask Hans Andersen and Joonas Kylmakorpi) so he's better off providing a sick note and hoping he is replaced within the 28 days and is free to go elsewhere.

World Cup Final 14th July
SCB replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I started to change my opinion of his about 18 months/2 years ago. I still love to hate him but the difference is I find it all funny now. I'm sure half the time he kicks off, realises he's done it and carrys on playing it up. How many dull meetings has Nicki kicked into action over the years? Still don't agree with the way he rides at times but he certainkly gives us a laugh and calls and spade and spade. Chris and Chris have had some great races over the years. You don't tend to get them if you don't trust each other. I've lost count of the times I've seen the pair of them race inches from each other lap after lap. Occasionally there has been contact from one or the other and they have each carried on. Even as a Bomber fan I'll admit I do sometimes cringe when he ends up on his backside (and in part thats down to referees who will exclude if someone falls off, but not if they don't. Why?) but no way was that the case last week. -
Poole with it's 3,900 capacity? Don't believe the hype from the south coast about their stadium. If you can only get 3,900 in there you may as well go to King's Lynn or Peterborough. At least half their stadiums are not taken up by a restaurant. Poole is clean and tidy but thats about it. TBF, these days Lynn is not the scruffly little place it was 10-15 years ago. They have proved over the last few years they're capable of hosting such an event. Mind you, it again comes back to major speedway stadiums capable hosting the event in the middle of nowhere. Must be a ball ache for the Swedes, Poles and Danes wanting to travel but thats not much different to Mallila and Vojens. Thats the one advantage Prague has.

Thing is, in a race they're not in gate order are they? They can be in any order so in that spilt second in a race to see who's out in yellow for Team GB you want to glance at the card, not have to remember what gate he started in. When filling in a programme I go red, blue, white, yellow. Not gate 1, gate 2, gate 3, gate 4 as by the end of the race I don't know what gate the riders started in. And you have had 2000+ emails praising the new format?! :/

Pretty spot on I'd say, apart from the 5 good heats, just a joker instead. -

World Cup Race Off 12 July
SCB replied to Vincent Vega's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Josef Franc has shown that a PL rider can do well. Scott and Danny have been poor but so was Middlo. Harris should have been in heat 16, Nicholls was never going to be good enough. Ok hindsight says it would have been pointless but you never know. -
World Cup Race Off 12 July
SCB replied to Vincent Vega's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The Danes will walk it with relative ease. We'll finish 3rd but at some point string together 4 or 5 good heats and everyone will think we'll qualify before reality sets in again. Obviously I hope we win by 20 points, i just can't see it sadly -

Kings Lynn World Cup 9 July
SCB replied to steve19620's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Basically. They tried reserved a few years ago if one of your riders got injured, amazingly 3 teams had riders pick up injuries in 1 meeting. Personally I prefer the idea of a non-riding reserve who can take any 5 rides. If you choose to have Harris as your reserve you can use him in all of the last 5 heats if you like. Or in all 5 of heats 1-5 to get off to a good start. Everyone would have the same rule at their disposal. -

Simple answer, no. Advanced answer, if you're 6 behind you can use a tactical. -
Anyone watching tbe racing we have seen in the SWC will not be thinking its a knockout, they'll be thinking bloody great racing. I don't like the rule but it's a minor irritation in an otherwise phenomenal competition.

The World Cup once again proving how truly amazing this wonderful sport of ours is. Some amazing racing, great tension and even a minor cufuffle in the pits. I love the World Cup.
