Best Gp Race Of All Time?
SCB replied to 21st century heathen's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Great race. From a wildcard too I showed that in school when I had to do my class talk and spoke about speedway, I did the build up about how eh had failed to qualify for the GP's after a bad year, he had been given a one of chance to impress by the organisers and this was the final etc. Went down well. As Rico says, it was shown the other night. A great ride. I remember Jimmy Nilsen saying in the Speedway Star he closed his eyes around the 3rd and 4th bend as as he Gollob fly past him going into the bend and he coudl not believe both got out of the 4th bend upright Superb I've discussed this with others, if you tried to write commentary for that heat, you couldn't! It's brilliant, so glad Millard was not there to spoil it. -

Wasn't it Greg who grass tracks on the 2nd bend at Latvia last year?! Must have a knack for it -

99 was too early for the channel 4 coverage. 2001 seems about right. -

No, I do remember Hans turning left on Scotty all the way down the home straight though -
Bucking and rearing, XXX leads, and XXX has passed YYY for 3rd (XXX was never leading!), Like a knife through butter, Man from Mildura, Bristol born Aussie, XXX goes marching on (it's an old one now with the knock out format no longer used) Some where in the yahoo lists archive is a list of about 30 Millardisms that someone compiled for people to play Millard Bingo with.

Ah go on then Lets hope Tomasz and Scott both end the season showing the form some of us know they're capable of.
-
The first line you have quoted shows you're wrong. SB is pointing out Gollob does not have more talent/ability in his little finger than Scott has in his whole body because if he did, he'd have found it a lot easier to pass and stay away form Scott. SB has not claimed Scott has more talent than Tomasz as he? Only that Scott has more talent than Tomasz does in his little finger, which is a comment Subedei made a few weeks ago.

Always said it, "I love to hate Nicki and the sport would be poorer without him" and last night proved that He's easily the best rider in the World this season and right now deserves to win the title but last nights out burst was top draw dummy spitting and surpassed his "I will not be your friend" rant of 2 seasons ago -
I bet if you buy your beer in the stadium at an extortionate price you can drink as much as your body will hold!
-
WTF did you get that one from? The comment was saying Gollob did not have more talent in his little finger than the whole GB team (or even just Scott) as last night Scott proved he could battle/keep up with Tomasz! I don't think anyone has ever claimed Tomasz lacked talent or even that Scott has more. FWIW, give me Tomasz Gollob at his peak over Scott every time. Though these days, they're both equally as infuriating as they can both beat the best on any given day but on another struggle to beat the 'lesser' GP riders!
-
I sat there all night waiting for "Thriller in Mallila"and guess what? He said it about heat 15 Great stuff Tony is needed for the crap GP's just so you can play Millard bingo to pass the time.
-
2005 Italian GP 2nd It's fair to say though, he's Mr infuriating. When he's good he is phenomenal, when he's bad he is bad! An on form Scott Nicholls is worth paying to see and a joy to watch, when he's struggling he just annoys everyone watching.

It's a Finn Jensen (Runes engine tuner and friend) hybrid engine. Some sort of new idea.

The irony! A Brummies fan going to the EU Final. Make sure Graham Drury doesn't know, he may back you from supporting the Brummies Sorry, can't help. -
No cheap seats either. I checked earlier. Also, it's cheaper to buy from see ticket.
-
I hate sitting at speedway anyway, so £20 to stand up suits me It they've sold all them £30 tickets though, the stadiums going to be full at this ratel!!
-
I don't have a ticket yet. No way am I paying £45 either
-
So why the hell are they still allowing people to select up to 10 tickets on their website?! Ticket companies are bloody useless!
