I'll go for a positive 46-44. I'll got for Josh Bates to become a Coventry hero tonight. -

It's not. It's because the Torun meeting was in the fixture list longer. Anyone telling you anything else is misinformed or lying. Some might say "thick, biased, or both" -

Could Woffy Be Making An El Return?
SCB replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Any truth in the rumour that as Woffy didn't ride EL last year he's been added to the draft, so Poole will be signing him to replace Adam Ellis next week?! -
The OP must be one of the most liked ever on the BSF, well done to the BSPA on messing something up so badly that so many agree it's messed up- so badly. So far the only person not agreeing is starman! Some of us have seen this coming a while. But we're now able to see, "told you so" and allow others to see how damn stupid it is!

Seriously, how many times do you have to be told about him signing Kildemand by text. And not letting him in Coventry redeclaration. -

Totally with Matt Ford on this one. STOP RUNNING MEETINGS WITH RIDERS MISSING! Mind you, shame Matt Ford didn't care about a rider being missing for Coventry vs BV in August 2011, isn't it? -
Not so. Wrights average will take a hammering. But one of Newman and Ellis will always be in reserve for Poole due to the "only highest reserve can move into the 1-5" rule. So Newman and Ellis are going to have massively inflated averages. The format does totally screw up averages.

3 times?! Jesus. Thats impressive. To make a mistake once is bad, twice is stupid. 3 times is unforgivable. In your opinion, how many times should they be allowed to dig it up and relay to get it right before we can deem it a farce? this 4th time now? The 5th time next week? The 8th time in May?

I seem to remember it was fines and suspended sentences. Probably all over with no as it was probably suspended for 12 months. They had to ride against each other the week after the incident as it was Coventry vs Swindon in the play-offs and I seem to remember them making an all out effort to shake hand whenever they met.

Just a little bit..... http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/speedway/investigation-launched-after-brawl-breaks-7848840

Yeah but using the old format you get to heat 8 and a team sticks out there top 2 against the #2 and #7 who pop out the start and go. So what? Yet with a GDTS you put one from the tapes and one form 15 metres. The one form the tapes trys to get in the way as the one at the back has to make 2 passes to get the points. I doubt anyone ever watched a heat with a GDTS and thought, "well that was boring" but many a TS has been won for the gate over the years.

WRONG! I am jealous of starman. I just wish I had his wit, charm, intelligence and wonderful people skills.
-
If the track was fine why has it been dug up and re-laid? Only to realise that they had messed up again so had another go. You'd think after two failed attempts they'd be right now on the 3rd yes? Amazingly no, it's taken a new 4th atempt this week. If I took 4 attempts to do my jobs I'd be sacked, why? Because I would have wasted the time of an audience and the performers booked to perform. You could say that my job is to the TV industry what the track mans job is to the speedway World.
-
1 it has zero effect on my team because we have rubbish reserves 2. starman fails to see the bigger picture as always I don't think any has any issue with the EDRs moving into the 1-5 IF they have earned it. But moving up just because the easy format gifts the reserves 10 points a meeting between them is a farce. The format is the issue, not that riders move up. The old format worked fine, it gave reserves easier rides and the top 2 harder rides - by virtue of heat 2 being a reserve race and heat 13 being the heat leaders race and the number 7 faces a reserve in every heat but this format is far too heavily biased and making the likes of Charles Wright have to ride against 2 heat leaders in some heats having come from a position where he meet 0 heat leaders just last week is madness!
-
Because he's a draft rider. And draft rider stay in reserve until they have raced 2 home and 2 away meeting and get a new average. For BV this looks like it could be some time in August!
-
Just looking at Pooles team and I wouldn't be shocked if by the end of the season (possibly even the end of May) they have all had a spell as heat leader!
-
I have no issue with that tbf. They've had their hands held for 2 seasons, they've been guaranteed a team place this year. So if they go into thr 1-5 that should be how it works BUT it should be if they've earned a place in the 1-5, not got it gifted because of the crap format!
-
Why confuse matters? Just go back to the old format. It's still slightly biased towards who you ride against anyway but nowhere near the way it is now. Because Paul Starke has moved up with news averages coming out.
-
The"chancers" are the people who opened the gates to run a meeting on a track that they were told wasn't good enough and keep feeding the fans with more and more bullrubbish. How many times have they dug up bends 3 and 4 now? Is this the 3rd or 4th time now?
-
PL rider up to 6.
-
Luckily I don't think so. Because Holders average will still be higher than Wrights
-
You dont NEED a protected system. Who is it protecting? Tonight Swindons EDR rider is riding as a heat leader FFS! Scrap the heat format, bring back 15 metre double points.
-
So tonight we see Charles Wright become a heat leader for Swindon. Next week we'll see one of Ellis or Newman become Poole heat leader. In a months time I'd say it's 50/50 that Holder could become Pooles reserve! Honestly, you could have Newman or Ellis at heat leader but Holder in reserve. And next winter have messed up everyone averages again you'd going to have the issue that you're going to need heat leader lists and second string lists! Well Done to the BSPA on managing to mess up the sport.
-
But someone always has to go into the bend in 4th so I'm not sure it's a safety thing tbh. And if it was an issue you wouldn't be allowed to go off 15 metres when you touched the tapes. It worked that back then you could put any rider in any race when you were 6 behind for normal points. the GD was you could put any rider in any race where you were 6 behind but he started 15 metres back and scored double points. The idea being that double points were earned. I say have one TR as now but then have 2 15 metre TRs per team too - we'll soon see the riders who have the balls to do it and those who don't!
