Next time Sheffiels are up , ask Berge about his letter of resignation to Glasgow speedway , then after speaking to a former team mate and manager of another club he realised he would have to sit out for 28 days, what he then said and done was why he was left in the street, I deal in facts and that should put this to bed once and for all, there is no other side to the story. -

Bellego and Berge lived the dream to wear the stripes then left, why it keeps getting brought up is beyond me, now poor J Etheridge who was brought all the way over from Oz, now that's how you look after a rider, heat 13 too close to call last night but Branford turning right as Lunna was going by him in heat two, that wasn't difficult to see, I've never seen Lunna so angry after a race, the kids normally always smiling and having fun, to win last night with Summers and Worrall having poor nights was very pleasing. -
Glasgow V Workington Pl Sunday 7 August 3pm
Pogo1 replied to SharpenRake's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Poor show from Workington yesterday, when you look at there team they should be doing a whole lot better away from home, Glasgow can only beat what's in front of them, with Lunna being the most exciting rider again, his gating is improving but when he doesn't gate he hunts the opposition down and passes them with ease, tougher tests to come with Ipswich and Somerset looming, they should be tasty, that's for sure, Now for Friday and Saturday where we need points! -

Something wrong with Masters bike in heat 11, that's a good one, and Fisher looked underpowered lol So Lunna going round the fence on bend two and passing Fisher is not a genuine pass in your book as it wasn't on bend three or four of the first lap? I think what you got from Wolbert yesterday is what he does round Ashfield, 6 in the sky match and 6 yesterday , ohh and that's what he averaged racing for us in 2014, and that's not exaggerating lol. Bewley is a talent no doubt but Clegg just doesn't to be kicking on after last season. Pretty sure Edinburgh will make top 6 and will fancy there chances against most over two legs, as there tough to beat at home with there 7 track experts that race for them according to J Campbell -

A very determined Glasgow side was the difference yesterday, Edinburgh don't seem to have a Cookie type who won't settle for second best, I recall Masters and Harkess being interviewed at the sky match a few weeks a go and saying you can't pass at Ashfield! Yesterday I counted 10 passes in 14 heats and Masters was on the receiving end of two! Maybe he meant he couldn't pass, ahh that's what he meant lol A track prepared for racers and Glasgow have them in abundance this season -

Good meeting with some really good races, pleased for the GB boys that they get a medal, Rosco got his joker etc spot on, Poland worthy winners and Australia could have had bronze if Lemon had a clue to what he was doing, you really only have one or two calls to make at World Cup meetings and he arsed it up big time, decent meeting though and well done to all involved. -

Glasgow contacted the bspa today to ask if Mitchell Davey could take Danny Ayres place on Sunday, the answer they received was no, Mitchell Davey is not eligible to race as a guest for a NL 3 pointer in the PL. Clearly one rule for one club and one for an other. -

Bspa event so they would/will announce any changes to Glasgow or anybody else's team. Your just worried it will affect your teams chances of qualifying I think lol -

What's it got to do with Workington? Lawson,Summers,Worrall and Bach for Glasgow. Qualification is now 4 matches, It means the Cook, Barker, Kurtz ans Bach's inclusion will give the 4s a stronger field, Common sense breaking out at the bspa lol -
M Davey can not take the place of Dan Bewley, first instance is that a PL club will have priority over a NL club so Bewley should have been riding for Edinburgh, secondly M Davey has had an average over 4 at some point in his career, 4.23 I believe? Edinburgh probably didn't check with the bspa for approval, but there pretty shrewd guys in the east normally, this time however they have broke the rules , An Aussie riding in a spot meant for British youngsters, no, not on I'm afraid !!!

Much will depend on Glasgow having there full team, which hopefully they will, Edinburgh would have been desperate to get it on last night with Worrall and Lunna missing. Friday August 26th looks like the first free date they have for the 2nd leg. -

I think Glasgow will win too, I would say about 10/12 point victory, Forecast for showers in the morning and fine there after. -

Pogo1 replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Still bouncing down in Glasgow at the moment and almost everywhere else, I know Edinburgh are desperate to get meetings on as they've had a terrible time of it recently, but they won't get the big crowd they would normally get for a Glasgow visit if this rain doesn't go off, and even at that unfortunately it does affect the crowd levels as people will be put off. Douglas for Bjerre, much the same tbh . -

R Branford will make Edinburgh stronger at reserve as M Clegg hasn't been the same rider as last season, Seems to be down on confidence, shame , decent lad, Forecast not too encouraging but with Glasgow having two guests I have a feeling they won't call this one of at 5pm lol -
We need more teams in the EL, that's the problem, same steams over and over, there fans must be sick of the sight of watching a league with only 8 teams. North and south would save on travel costs for sure, and possibly more traveling fans, Weekly speedway that's what supporters want , the GP and European champs are killing us as a weekly sport, Two choices, race without the 4 or 5 GP stars we have in the EL and the clubs can race on there regular race night ( well the weekend tracks ) Keep them and try to work on a two night fixture list , ie Monday and Thursday , I'm not convinced the signings of KK, Zagar, and NKI have upped the crowds at there respective clubs so why arrange fixtures round them? Slightly weaken the PL and hopefully Birmingham and Eastbourne will move up and if we can't get same race night x2 in EL, make it weaker and maybe 2/3 PL clubs with ambition might join up in 2017. We could have two 12 team leagues with slightly weaker teams but who says the product would be any worse than what we have now,

Coty Garcia fantastic, I recall a regular poster on here saying how crap he was last year and just because he had an exotic surname didn't make him a rider, oh and equipment wouldn't make any difference to him, ouch! Fantastic evening showing what's good about our sport we all love, ok there wasn't as much passing as normal but riders were right up for it from both teams and both sets of fans were a credit to there team, Fisher really good , and even when passed by Garcia coming off bend two he still shook his hand after the race after what was a very tough pass by our Coty. Atmosphere electric , even though I have a slight sore head with all the air horns lol -

Lovely sunny morning here in Glasgow, showers expected but weather to be more pleasant in the central belt of the city. Nearly time for the talking to stop, still think it will be close, let's hope everyone stays fit and we do the Premier league proud. Glasgow v Edinburgh on sky, at last! -

More like raining champs don't you think lol -
Lawson. RR Worrall Bach Summers Garcia Ayers Masters M Riss E Riss Fisher Wolbert Clegg Bewley The biggest meeting of the season for both teams as the cameras roll in to see what the biggest derby in British speedway is all about, I expect a tight affair with Glasgow clinching a narrow win by maybe 4/6 points Notice Edinburgh have changed there riding order with Wolbert no longer being protected by riding in the middle pairing which should help Fisher too, Glasgow normally get heat advantages in heats 13 and 15 which will be more difficult with Masters in town. Get there early as this will be the biggest crowd so far this season boosted by maybe 30 odd through from the east if it's anything like the league cup match earlier in the season lol, Tigers reserves being the key I think!
