Berwick Vs Redcar Sat 26th March
To The Point replied to allthegearbutnaeidea's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Was a good start, good job the covers went down, good that Scott stood his ground and made sure they went down, also good that Scott did not allow anyone to grade the track when the covers were lifted, really good to have manager at last that knows what he is doing. On the refs decisions thought Reevo was very leniant throughout, but it kept the meeting moving and allowed thhe youngsters to have a blast. Highlight of the evening was Sebs spectacular off, should really have been excluded as he was not in contact with his machine when it crossed the line, the bike crossed and Seb followed very quickly afterwards ( I sit right in front of the start line, with a perfect view). Sorry about the underling, it won't switch off -

Somerset Vs Rye House 25/03/16 League Cup

Maybe the Scunthorpe team manager knows something you don't. l.o.l -
Rare on this site, where multiple name users seem to be the norm, but his name is Colin.
-
Perhaps Colin had heard we need a track curator and was dropping a hint. Wish Colin lots of luck in finding employment, he hasn't had a great year or so due to ill health, perhaps a little compassion and understanding would not go amiss with certain posters. Good luck Colin, hope to see you back at Shielfield this year mate.

A tenacious little rider

To be fair they had a poster campaign in 2015, just didn't distribute the posters. Much better effort this year by the couple who were doing the advertising for the programme. It's taken about 6 years to listen, but better late than never. Onwards & Upwards Advertising is a part of promotiing your business, not the whole, however, it is an important part of getting the message out to the interested public. If you don't get the information out in front of your customer base how does one expect them to know about it. Berwick is an example of a town that has a large influx of visitors during the speedway season, if you can attract at least some of the visitors to come along, they may become long term speedway fans in their own area. It's about getting the information out where the public will see it, pubs, cafes, tourist info centres holiday camps etc,.etc.,

I like the Fanny, not the dick.

Don't make a Dick of yourself
-
Thought it reasonable to ask the question, While i remember, I know I have rabbited for 4 or 5 years about the importance of getting the posters out. What a fantastic job they have done this year, great, great, great. May it long continue
-
Customers coming into shop had heard it was off, due to the track in poor condition. After about 10m enqiries, thought it best to ask, as nothing on Berwick website on sat.

Is Press & Practice on or off next week.

Can Any Pl Fans Tell Me?
To The Point replied to Robinh88's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Is this important to the PL Robin, Poland causes more problems for British Speedway than any where else in the world. Perhaps if Poland were made to to toe the International line, the speedway world would be a much better product. -
Now I thought the Council just employed people not workers
-
Is he staying with Colin Poole, I see this rider has announced his Newcastle sponsors
-
Like I said before, you lucky bugg**s, wish he was coming up to Berwick, we would probably fill the stadium.
-
He is if you are a biker, but bikers in speedway are very much a small minority.

The similarity to speedway, is that all the old farts want to go back to the good old days ?????, and all the younger fans are looking to the future and the benefits of being in the EU. Figure out yesterday 65% of over 50s want to leave the EU and 90% of below 30 s want to stay in EU.. Looks like as an old fart I am in the minority of my age group, I see and accept the advatages of remaining, but see the neccesity for change within it. The UK has in place a very adequate border system, we cannot leave the UK or return without producing a passport, so not really an open border.
