Berwick 2024

You lot will do the double over us in 3 weeks time with these same teams. Never mind when you find a gem to bring in to strengthen up. -

Why was it the correct decision with race rerun? Why should the opposing team be punished for a rider falling off at the back on his own? Kemp was miles clear from Allen. It should have been awarded all day long. MPT should have been excluded in heat 6 too, should never be a red light for punishing yourself that badly at the start. As for Cook, waste of time. Changes are afoot. -

Another case of transponders being wrong at Workington on Saturday? BSN announced they were being used, video evidence quite clearly shows Boughen winning ht14, referee gave it to Jenkins… they do not work. -

There’s been a few pages on it, plus a whole thread, an Scb statement, you didn’t look very hard. -

Yes Declan, helped Leon last season for a while, although not sure who’s the older of the two. And yes, would be a 2 pointer, which is interesting… -
Scunny v Berwick KOC 17.05.24

Wow that’s worrying if that’s a good crowd. I’d say that’s half of what every other northern track gets at least. -

You would geo block the stream if that was the case. There were poor crowds 10/15 years ago at Scunthorpe and there’s still no one there, thankfully Godfrey makes it work and well done to him for that. -

Scunthorpe could very easily turn us over here. Need Kerr to be at it or else we’ve got an embarrassing night on our hands. -

Have we got Dickie Lawson guesting for us in those? -

There’s been proof of at least two wrong calls in Championship this season, with a good few others being very dubious. Now that is fine if those tracks don’t have transponders, but we were told that they were in place now. Also a transponder in speedway simply cannot be reliable, as you cannot attach a transponder to a front tyre can you. -
Dust at Shielfield was worse last week, and it will be just as bad tonight, unfortunately in those weather conditions, with the type of shale used now, you either flood the track and the riders won’t ride on it, or you don’t and you get a bit of dust from my point of view. Was no dust on b1 at all really.

Don’t get all the negative comments about the track. Might not be the same as previous years, but was more than enough passing, is the fact that it was Berwick riders doing the majority of them clouding judgement? Fantastic performance from the Bandits last night, brilliant bounceback from Saturday’s home defeat. Kemp, Jye, Borke all excellent.
-
That’s according to Lee’s wife.

Fantastic ride by Borke in heat 8, but deserved win for Poole in the end. Pickering very hit and miss unfortunately, we’ve been lucky with Lawson recently, and he proved that tonight. Well done Sam Hagon, brilliant meeting from him. Track seemed awful, and completely different to other meetings this season. Kemp let us down, but could see he wasn’t interested after a shove from his teammate in heat 5. Hume inconsistent, Jye average, Schlein lacked speed. Well done Poole on the win.
