Worth keeping an eye on that 👀

Agree keeping grounded is important at such a young age. It's equally important us fans need to be patient with these lads, and not put pressure on them from the off. Hopefully they will be with us in years to come.

Welcome Jody Scott
-
Pretty sure Jody is at Lynn.
-
I cant remember any assessed averages back then. in 1975 he rode at 7, 6, and finished the season riding at 5.
-
I think he was 14 the first time i saw him ride. I used to time him, just by my watch, and as you say he was fast. Even when he used to come out after the meeting, when the track was dry and slick, he was only a second or 2 slower that the main meeting at 14 if my memory serves me right.
-
I believe he was 16 when he made his debut in 1975. For Boston and Lynn He averaged 7.43 that season for Lynn in the top league. At 17 he averaged 9.43, at 18 it was 10.59. 19 was 10.23, 20 was 10.21, 21 was 10.14. All this was for Lynn in the top league. He was something special for sure.

I cant see Ford going anywhere near.
-
Paco confirmed.

I wasn't happy with the Cook situation last season, and said so, or "slagged" him/ the Poles off if you like.. I've not said im happy he's in the team this season either, so that's me off the flip flop "list" hasta la vista if you thought i was one of them It's great to have Local boys Coops and Jody in the team, Although would rather have Cooper on a 2 . Jan and Bomber back, and a genuine No.1 is great. If Cook rides a whole season, i would expect him to put a bit on his average, i will say that..

2025 KING'S LYNN YOUNG STARS - King's Lynn Speedway - The Home of the Stars 🙂
-
Would leave a little over 4 points for the remaining rider, if we have Scott and Cooper at 6 and 7.
-
I'd be surprised, but If it is anything to do with Buster, my guess is that it would be a short term deal of some sort to help the Prem run in 26. He was supposed to be winding down 2 years ago.
-
Kvech it is.
-
Read on here he has turned down the 2 offers, what they consisted of we don't know. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't come back from his holiday and pick his toys back up, and find a way to get through 26.I hope so anyway.
-
As you say, probably none of the other Prem promoters wanted just 5 teams, why would they, but they seem to have gone again in the hope that there might be a few teams come back, or something can be sorted for 27. None of them probably get the crowds Ippo does, certainly not at Lynn. It certainly seems like Louis has thrown his toys out of the pram over something. His choice of course, but a surprising one imho.
-
Would not his family's 70 history at Ippo, and speedway meant he would give it a year? Thought the family was speedway through n through.
-
I see ya laughing BP. So CL wanted one league?. i don't know, please enlighten us lesser mortals. Wouldnt it be worth 1 more year to give maybe Northampton, PB, Cov, Swindon,or another team a chance to step up.. No matter how unlikely?
-
Thats the one... Say what you like about Lynn, but despite the crowds being not the best, and we are generally taken the pis% off, we are going again.. Louis is making a profit, and won't give it a year.... For the sports his family loves, where he might only break even.... Happy Christmas
-
Yep
-
So there must be 2 leagues running again, otherwise a team cant be sorted now?
-
But does Fords only Weds, and Chris only Prem amount to the same thing, making profit. Like i say ive have a few
-
Wouldn't you agree that if the rumours are true that Chris will pull Ippo if there's no Prem, is as bad as Ford wont move up because he will make less? Have been out for an 18th, but i don't think i'm wrong
-
No chance. Both teams wouldn't last the season imho.
-
He had it up for sale ,rumours of him wanting £500k 🙂 Of course he is perfectly entitled to make a profit. But most promoter's/ owners seem scrimp and scrape, often putting their own money in from other businesses to keep their team going. I would say they love the sport, not someone who said if the club don't make money, then he will be gone!! He likes to sign up the top kids coming through, but doesn't do much for the development of young riders either imho. Just my opinion of course, and we all have one..
