  1. He has lost money at Peterborough, he has said so himself. Judging by the crowds at Lynn, I think he has lost there as well. Speedway is not a money making machine, it's a money pit. So it's cost him £1000's. He spent 6 figures at Peterborough, before a wheel was turned. He didn't do it to make money, that's for sure!! If Buster did underwrite the Ippo promotion, he was the only one to put his money where his mouth is. He has his haters, and your one of them. But if he walked away from the 3 clubs today, where would speedway be?
  2. I hope that's still the forecast ?. Looking forward to watching this. Hopefully a good crowd for the cameras too.
  3. As I see it the reason is simple, our riders haven't been good enough away from the AFA. While it's great to have "Application, attitude and passion", does it have "far greater importance to the value of a riders impact for the team"? It will only get you so far imho. You could put a Championship side into the Prem, and they won't win anything with all the application, attitude and passion in the world..
  4. It might be me, but how many guests score the same as they did for their own team.
  5. Having "someone who knows what they are doing" wouldn't of saved the Prem league and BT deal this season. He was the only one that put his hand in his pocket, and probably lost money. I'm not saying he is the right man for the job, He's set in his ways, that's for sure, but where would the Prem have been without him this season ? Gone maybe. Cabbage patch , well they go together with webbed feet around these parts
  6. Just been looking at some stats. The Stars need some changes next season if they want to do better. They finished just under Swindon, but finished 6th in the league. Official team GSA's to date Swindon 45.26 Lynn 45.16 Ippo 42.82 Poole 42.65 Wolves 41.66 BV 41.33 Peterborough 39.45 We need a big re shuffle next season. The only team not to win on the road this season, I think ? These are this seasons riders away averages ( just this season, not GSA's, rolling aves and not for team building). But it will confirm we can't have as many home "track specialists" next season. This season our finishing 1-7 of Lambo, Cookie, Erik, TJ. MPT ,Lewis and Nik's combined away averages add up to just 33.76.
  7. This ArthurRudge https://www.southwalesargus.co.uk/news/16202734.internet-paedophile-jailed-after-also-making-621-secret-films-of-people-urinating-at-music-festivals/
  8. I think what done it for Rory was when he sat on the centre concrete to have his hair shaved off for charity in the interval. The club clippers where crap and they asked over the PA system if anyone had clippers with em that they could use.. They ran out of time and Rory did his next race with half his hair
  9. A bend is a bend But seriously, that should never have happened and i doubt it will again.
  10. Lisa said 70% chance of showers during the day, and 60% in the evening. Is it raining now?
  11. What ever Lynn do they have got to move a few Lynn track specialist's on if the want to compete. They have to many. To early to say. Cook to BV ?, Don't know if Rory would be keen/. Don't think Lambo will do UK. Worrall looks weak. Although Erik has been a lot better at home, he is on the up. Would be my first signing. Lambo would be my second ……...But not sure he will do the UK in 2020. Charles Wright would be another. On 6.58 . He has averaged almost the same away as at the Showground this season. Lynn need points on the road. Ash Morris has achieved his level I think. Nick Morris is on a keen average. Who knows. But I hope Buster puts more into Lynn after last seasons promise, he said he will try and do one better in 2019...…. What happened... He bought 2 more clubs.....
  12. You'll be behind me Wishing your boys all the best against the Pirates. I must be mad, but it is Poole
  13. Agree. Half of the shale was on the centre green. Probably scraped off for the big banger weekend. Buster wasn't there. Maybe hes in Cardiff ? I did see Colin Pratt. It was the slickest I've seen it for a long time, and the times showed it.
  14. Swindon are favourites, but only just. Swindon 2.62 Poole 3.00 Wolves 3.00 Ippo 11.00 For non betting people every pound you put on Swindon, you get £2.62 back. Poole and Wolves £3.00 And Ippo £11.
  15. Same here. If you compare the 2 riders Wright CMA 6.58 ….. He averaged 7.13 at the Showground this season., and 6.38 away from home. TJ CMA 6.41 …… Averaged 7.71 at the AFA and 3.78 away this season. If Wright averaged 6.38 home and away for the Stars, which he should do, it would boost the middle order on the road
  16. There was about 7-8 tonnes of dirt on the centre green ( concrete). I wonder if that was taken off for the big banger meeting this weekend. On the TJ front. I do get that he is a great bloke, and loves it at Lynn. But if we want to win things and grab some away points, I couldn't justify him if i'm honest. He has been riding the away tracks long enough now to have sussed them out. If compare his home and away ave, it's shocking, 7.71 H 3.78 A. Without checking, I would say it's his worst away average since he has been with us, and his home ave is probably his highest. So in my Poole mode, it's time for him to move on, at least for now. I wouldn't like Busters job
