Of course i would rather more teams in the Prem, I don't think anyone would think anything else.. I worded that post carefully, I didn't mention I wanted Poole to stay up. They are the team I like the least out of the last seasons 7. If I had to pick a team to "swap" with the Tigers it would of been Poole... But the real reason isn't what you say at all.! You have the wrong end of the stick there Lisa. The reason I think Poole will stay up is that I don't trust Ford, and I do think it could be a bluff. If it were any other team I wouldn't think of a bluff at all ! Happy to take the flack if I have got it all wrong though

I don't. But something don't seem right to me. Ford said its 25% cheaper, but it should be cheaper to get in, so less gate money, then theres the new TV deal, might be harder to find sponsors with no TV coverage, fans could drop 2-300 as well. If that happens you will be no better off. I thought Ford was smarter than that. I might be way off the mark, but I think Matt might be trying to force the sale of the club, or get Weds night racing in the Prem. Sheffield asked to come up and it seems to of been agreed and announced pretty fast. Matt has asked to drop down, but I haven't heard anything since. No proof at all, just a feeling I have. I would rather have 8 teams than 7 in the Prem in 2020. We will see

I thought that if you applied to go up or down you have to wait until the AGM ? It seems the Tigers have been approved to come up already. Have Poole been accepted into the Champ yet? I ain't seen anything. Can't see the difference myself. I'll stick with my bluff theory

Another case of Poole to win/ survive at any cost. As long as you get what you want, then that's fine.. What about the home fans , don't they deserve to get their ££ worth and see a visiting team with a their "proper" 1-7.

I'm in the minority, but I think the Pirates will be in the Prem .It would be a shame for Poole fans, because you are used to being, at or very near the top of the tree for a long time. It will come hard for a lot of the supporters to take if i'm wrong, and you do drop down. Ford said it's 25% cheaper to run in the lower league. That sounds about right to me. But the price to get in will be a bit less, and theres the TV money (if it's worth having next season), sponsors may not get the advertising on TV, so won't be some keen. When you think about it you have only got to be 2-300 fans down and it all gets very tight. I think Ford is cleverer than that.

You should know more than me.. Just my opinion at the mo. If Ford has really asked to drop down, then let him.. Don't rally around to keep them up, or give him what he wants to stay up.. It's said that he runs it as a business for the last 15 years plus. Best sponsored, best crowds, dearest for families with kids. Made money. One season he hasn't the toys come out of the pram. Put that against most of the other clubs that struggle, and run despite a loss, year after year, hoping it will pick up. People moan about Buster trying to keep speedway at the top level going with TV coverage, yet Ford wants out at the fist sign of a loss. Yet Poole fans think Ford is the ** ??

I'm not sure Poole will drop down at all. I think it's a bluff to get something he wants. But we shall see.

Id be happy for any Champ team to replace Poole if Ford isn't trying to play things, and is serious, which I doubt he is. Let them drop down.

I don't know.. But what I read is that Poole are the most successful team over the last 10 years, with the best sponsors and the best crowds. Yet Ford wants to charge the highest in the league for supporters. Not the best way to let the young ones to see whats on offer!! But more ££ for Ford and that's what counts in his book. You should know that by now . Ford is ££ for him. When that stops he don't want to know... Simples

Well done to the Robins... So strong at home and coming into form at the right time.. Also well done to Ippo. Many didn't give them a chance including me. They were in the final on merit.

If as Ford says dropping down will be 25% cheaper, I think he would loose that on gate money as things stand. If he can get Weds racing in the Champ I suppose he is thinking along the lines of he might keep the crowd levels he has now, because of the Weds racing, so still saving 25%? Still pie in the sky at the moment imho.. If this is genuine it's a gamble. But only Ford knows what it cost him this season. A big sponsor could make the difference between the 2 leagues for the Pirates.

Until it happens, i'll take Poole dropping down with a pinch of salt. It could well be a way for Ford to try and get what he wants. Either to force the sale the club or change race nights. How do we know if the poll result to drop down is genuine. It night be made up to ad weight to Ford saying he's dropping down, making some think it's serious enough to act. I hope Buster don't buy them, it will affect Lynn again no doubt.. If he wants to move down then let him do it I say.
