  1. So which teams are left that haven’t already made signings and could therefore still move up? Glasgow most likely I would say?
  2. There’s an interesting article in today’s Bournemouth Echo where Danny Ford states that Poole have been asked to move up but have declined. Reiterated how important Wednesday nights are and said that the only time they ran a Tuesday this year was the only meeting they made a loss, and also said financially they can’t afford the higher rider costs in the premiership. The article also states that the premiership are actively trying to find new teams and venues to join them due to the loss of Oxford and Birmingham.
  3. So what exactly did Danny say to make everyone so convinced that Anders won’t be back? I can’t believe Middlo who’s known Anders literally since he was in nappies and is good friends with his dad Del can’t get the best out of the lad?
  4. Of course they aren’t stuffed. There will be riders available on similar averages that didn’t ride championship last year, converted averages from doubling down or new foreign riders. Also IF Anders has moved on then I’m sure another team would quickly snap him up and then one of the riders mentioned might become available instead? Alternatively could go for a 6 point rider and have more points for elsewhere in the team?
  5. So where do we think the gap in the team is?
  6. Could it be….. No TV deal and they go with 5 teams, TV deal and they use the money to run another team or 2? I’ve heard a rumour that all teams are prepared to chip in and run another team between them to secure a TV deal if that deal requires a minimum number of teams like the last one did. For example run a team on an existing track
  7. As I said Championship rules and teams have been agreed hence lots of signing announcements. To date there’s not been a single premiership signing announced
  8. Waiting for confirmation of a TV deal I suspect. Lots of championship signings have been announced but none in the premiership?
  9. I’m guessing the plan is to stay under the NORA banner next season?
  10. This isn’t true, Max is still racing next season
  11. Surely they just pay rent per meeting? Therefore more meetings just means more rent to pay?
  12. Lasse has confirmed he’s not back next season
  13. Wasn’t Tobias Thomsen a popular guest down at Plymouth this season too? I’ve not seen him named in the proposed Poole line up
  14. Thanks all, and thanks to Islander for running it
  15. So just out of interest, was it a success this season in terms of spectator numbers etc? Back at the tapes next season?
  16. Where did you see this? They did the same to the IOW when they switched to NORA racing
  17. Is that how it works then? I thought there was a cut off date rather than percentage of fixtures ridden? Only that Berwick and Sheffield just made changes stating “before the deadline” ?
  18. When is the transfer deadline for this season? I see that Starke’s average goes to 4.00 on 1st August. Surely that presents a great opportunity to replace him with a new foreign rider to strengthen up before the play offs?
  19. Could it be that someone else is coming in to run/promote Workington and the delay is transferring all of the assets, contracts and visas over to the new company?
  20. You don’t dissolve companies just to “change it’s name”
  21. Cooper isn’t old enough to race in the championship this season.
  22. Cooper was the reason I went along to watch and I wasn’t disappointed, looks very classy on the bike, good style and fast for his age. Also conducts himself well with the fans in the pits and on the microphone etc, this kid is going to go far.
  23. Anyone know if Will is fit enough to ride in this after his fall for Belle Vue? My main reason for attending will be to watch him and Cooper ride
