  1. I’ll be delighted if Plymouth have managed to find a genuine number 1 as there didn’t appear to be many options out there and it’ll be good for them and the league if they are competitive, we’ve lost way too many teams in the South in recent years and they do a great job to keep things running down there and always give a warm welcome. I’ll be surprised if it’s Zagar but he does have good links down there from his days riding for Trelawny, incidentally if it is Zagar then it would leave exactly 3.00 left and they could then sign Trigger.
  2. And that’s my point, it was a shocking excuse when they let Vinnie go, I think 99 percent of Poole fans would rather have him in the team rather than Starke? Unless….. the number 7 has a higher average than 2.00
  3. How do you think he got that average?
  4. Nico Covatti - 7.82 Ben Barker 5.87 Joe Thompson 5.63 James Pearson - 5.51 Kyle Newman - 5.24 Alfie Bowtell 5.07 Lasse Fredriksen 4.67 Total - 39.81
  5. How about a return for James Pearson?
  6. No, the rider has already signed . They just like to spread out the announcements
  7. That’s good to hear, would love to see him back at Plymouth
  8. I thought Trigger left not on the best of terms? Apologies if that’s incorrect, I just vaguely remember reading something
  9. Even if your thinking above was true and the top 5 were decided a while ago then they wouldn’t have been able to fit Starke in anyway if they only had 4ish points left on a 38 limit. Incidentally, Danny said that Vinnie was in when it was a 38 limit. I was told that Vinnie couldn’t be squeezed in because of his average so if Anders has signed (Sheffield let the cat out the bag on that one) and a 2 pointer then I’m going to assume it’s not Starke but a newcomer on a 4.00. On another note does anyone know if Sam Hagon has a team sorted out? There’s not many spaces left unless he’s at Berwick as he rides for Douglas at Leicester already
  10. I’m still struggling to believe it’s Anders, Starke and a 2 pointer leaving them almost a point under the limit. Danny Ford said they had to drop Vinnie because if they kept him then they would have ended up too many points under the limit. Well Vinnie would have fitted in the above team instead of Starke and they would have been closer to the 40 limit.
  11. Sheffield have already announced that Anders is also at Poole
  12. How about Jody Scott at number 7 as he’s not in the Oxford team
  13. I don’t think Trigger has an offer from any team currently
  14. Is it possible that it’s not Gilkes after all, maybe he’s off to Birmingham (only other Prem team left with a space for him)
  15. That doesn’t fit, and Sam isn’t back at Poole
  16. Agreed with some of the comments above, I reckon that Gilkes has signed instead of the rumoured Schlein and that will mean no Riss giving them more points for the last 2 rather than being that far below the points limit
  17. He still could be if they don’t sign Kerr or Rowe
  18. If that’s the team and it’s a 2.00 reserve then it’s almost a point under the limit which doesn’t make sense. May as well go for a new rider on a 4.00 or Jake Mulford on 4.27 rather than Starke, or they could have used the extra for a new 5.00 rider instead of Thomsen
  19. But then probably would have kept Vinnie rather than a new 4.00
  20. I’ve been told by several sources now that neither Sam or Vinnie are in the team as averages didn’t fit so the Tobias signing has surprised me slightly. Ben Trigger (mentored by Havvy) is heavily linked on a 3.00 as is Starke, Kerr and Anders but those four don’t fit with the 3 already announced (Lawson, Zach and Tobias)
  21. It was purely down to the averages, and yes it did make the difference in being able to sign another rider or not. You can be sure they would have kept Vinnie if this wasn’t the case
  22. Yh that’s confusing! But I guess someone like Kubera should be an 8.00 based on the above?
  23. Please remind me what’s the criteria for a new rider with an assessed 8.00 average, is it a non GP rider?
  24. Jacob Hook has done enough to secure a work permit for next season after a podium spot at an Australian meeting yesterday so hopefully he’s a good option for the Gladiators.
