  1. but dc all the teams have the same points limit and we know the poole promotion will strive to be competitive whatever league and within whatever points limit
  2. your really enjoying this dc arent you? lol, i know those teams would send the shovler into meltdown but im happy enough with your "taunting" lineups, in fact im beginning to look forward to those sort of teams
  3. good post pop and of course "darcys meeting"done a helluva lot of damage
  4. im quite happy to leave the decision to matt ford,he hasnt done to bad for pirates!!!
  5. not so sure, last nights semi was nothing to do with poole but it didnt stop him trolling the wolves v swindon thread continously all evening.
  6. thats when i moved into the area and started going, first season a young leigh adams made his british debut, believe the following season a certain kid mr boyce made his british debut great times would go back to that league in an instant
  7. what any business man,or in fact anybody, does with their money providing its legal simply isnt anybody elses business gavan
  8. skids why are you highlighting even more reasons for people not to attend? always thought the unofficial(nudge nudge) strategy of most promoters was not to highlight the fact that a visiting team was going to be severely weakened!!
  9. could lindback have been picked because hes the only contender who rides with long dreadlocks trailing out from under his helmet lol
  10. probably plenty of head scratching going on as to how this can be called off !! Which forum member can come up with the most original reason ?? I believe several essential members required to run a meeting at poole are part of the local lifeboat crew and matt sends up a flare at lunchtime for them to attend an emergency in the english channel and they cant get back in time to run the meeting !!
  11. hasnt matt ford in the past tentatively suggested the way forward for british speedway may be semi-professional riders?never be a shortage of youngsters who want to race motor bikes, who knows.Non league football by and large is a pretty successful and stable product.
  12. he is no1 on falcons list which is what i was responding to (in a lighthearted manor)
  13. dont like that falcon why on your list are poole the only club without a no1 !!??
  14. so the fine for not staging was deemed to be to be a bit tasty??!! so press the spin button and have a gamble on the attendance, note that kids under 12 will be free, christ thats not really pushing the promotional boat out is it,do something crazy under18s free plus free admission to any of the 25000 students in the town,or perhaps £5 for students plus a free shot, give the grandstand bars over to the student union to organise share bar profits with the stadium, ask the many student buses that virtually pass the stadium to stop at the stadium that evening. No thats not going to work!! have a gate of 425 and take 5or6 grand(ps doesnt say what the pensioners discount is?)
  15. it isnt getting beat by this years"cannonfodder"as you put it that would dent the market value its the fact that only 1000 turned up to watch the home leg that dents value.i know he wont take satisfaction from it but skidder did predict selecting ipswich was "financial suicide",forget the trophy had to reach the final to balance the books.Everthing went our way in the play-offs last season, well beaten this y,r thats sport, congratulatilons to the ipswich riders
  16. well it is the midlands so i suppose" peaky blinders" hairstyles are the rage
  17. i'm delighted we have chosen ipswich but in the back of my mind i am a little or actually more than a little worried about your prediction/concern re the "financial suicide" of picking ipswich lets all hope that any financial hit can be more than covered by a massive final turnout(im confident we will be in the final!!)
