I agree that too many times races are too strung out but there does not have to be passing to have an interesting race. Close racing is what is require which we won't often get until teams have riders of similar qualities and abilities. I've been to many meetings up and down the country where the fare has been just the same. Passing is good but you can still see a good race when the riders keep closer together and seem to be making an effort to get or keep better race positions. -

Most BCL teams have better reserves than Leicester -
Should be Interesting this one. Redcar will arrive with 3 track specialist heat leaders.

Who got injured last night?

Jason Doyle has said that his season with Somerset was great but that he found his travel from Norwich to Somerset each week was somewhat long and tiring. Isn't Norwich to Swindon also a bit of a trek?
-
How is the new track project coming along? Will it be ready in time?
-
Thank you. I missed that.

Now that Season Ticket Holders have already lost a match by Workington withdrawing perhaps the challenge match against Ipswich will be used instead.

It could have been a financial decision. It might have been the cost of employing the whole team that was the issue and someone had to go. -
Just been announced that the Cubs will ride on Saturdays whenever the Lions do not.

Dale Allitt says that only Jason Doyle averaged more that Robert Lambert in 2018. This is I think is based on their finishing GSAs but If you just use their actual 2018 results, including bonus points, I think Robert comes out on top.
-
He's always with him.
-
If they use his Somerset 2018 average x 1.5 he might come in on 6.88.

At last a discussion as to how the conversion from BPL to BCL might apply. Twice I have asked this question but to no avail. I hope they use factual 2018s BPL averages otherwise it defeats the object of their proposed intentions.
-
I have already posted on this matter asking if anyone knows if 2018 BPL averages apply or will existing BCL 2018 averages be used. Does anyone indeed know for sure which way it will go?
-
Do the BPL riders already doubling down to the BCL retain their 2018 average for 2019 or do they now have to use their 2018 BPL average multiplied by 1.5?
-
Leicester have dropped down to the Championship.
-
Another factor in achieving higher averages than today was that riders and or team managers were allowed to select their own riders starting positions. The better riders naturally selected what they thought were the best gates. Now of course every rider has to go off each of the gates without choice.

My sole purpose in buying a season ticket is so that my money is made available to the club in advance of the season commencing and help to provide funds with which the owners can begin their planning. If I could I would do more to help but unfortunately it is not possible. A small loss is anticipated due to illness and holidays but to me this is not a problem.
