It's an eerie silence from whoever is coming up.....it would seem they are not overly keen to join the Championship...so why was it prematurely announced as part of the AGM news????

Only if I could see evidence they wouldn't go bust during my tenure.

Crowds will never return to the levels we talked of until the sport can somehow rid itself of the WWF/Circus sport reputation that none followers view it as............ .e.g. guests/doubling up/down which makes it so laughable to the non converted.

The vast majority of speedway fans in the UK don't post on here....

Surely though the riders must see they are doing damage to the overall existence of the sport by accepting silly terms?....basically they will eventually kill the goose that's laying their golden egg???

You're not alone in hoping Rasmus returns that's for certain. Where's Totally Honest John with his 'inside info' please? Personally I get peed off with all this points limit stuff. Suppose it's a team leveller, and some say - a money saver - eh !! beats me that one ???? (but pls don't explain ta)... Anyway I know it's not very likely to happen but my wish would be to have our magnificent seven, treble winners of 2018, back next season.

Meant to say there were quite a lot of kids in the Grandstand the night Comets beat Lakeside to win the Championship.....some said it was their first time at Speedway which was good to hear....that's if, of course, they enjoyed it ha...although the very severe cold made a couple leave early sadly.

No... they prefer xbox etc.

Which is why that's not good for kids attending...... with school in the morning.

So they can't risk running in the afternoon in case any delays cause them to run into church service time??

Suppose so...I also used to think back in the 1970's Sunday afternoons were popular.....nowadays we can't operate on an afternoon on the sabbath which is puzzling.

Yep the crowds are diminishing.. like snow off a dyke...but as long as I can go to DP and see Comets I'm more than happy.

Yeah track was a bit tight.......to accomodate soccer pitch.......think about 3k there.....McFarlane wouldn't pay rent I believe.

As for "cheap wine".....what a cheek eh? I pay no less than £10 for mine................................for 3 bottles.

Maybe wrong...but I thought their was a decent crowd at Paisley that night....pity it didn't last long.........also went to Coatbridge and the crowd seemed nowhere near as good.

Yeah all 7 nights for me if poss....................but thought the back end of season crowds for Peterborough and Diamonds/Redcar doubleheader were good turnouts.....maybe need to go to specsavers.
