Jeppesen rides for Esbjerg in Denmark but that won't effect Berwick as they've already raced at Oxford & Poole. He doesn't have a team place in Poland and he's too old to get called up by Denmark for any of these under age meetings -
Berwick ‘buy a brick’ Bandits 2025

You suggest the Cook signing has been a disaster but when he's actually ridden he's done a good job. It seems like he's been ill a lot but per BSPL stats he's only missed 2 meetings. When he's missing you should have a good choice of guests, given his average and there's only ever one other meeting. Basically any rider except the majority of other clubs number ones. Glasgow or Edinburgh riders the obvious choice if at home on a Friday night. -
But apparently 11 make a Championship season - 2 BSN, 1 cup & 8 league matches. That will be why riders have to double up and fans don't know when the next meeting is as there's large gaps in the racing calendar.

Glasgow Tigers Vs Poole Pirates 6/6/25

Why wasn't he riding? Hasn't he just signed for his Polish team? The Glasgow fixtures was in his schedule since the fixtures came out. UK used to get priority unless it was a rearranged fixture, if rider wasn't contracted at the start of the season. Does Poland always get priority now? -
Oxford vs Glasgow - Championship - 4/6

Don't understand why Oxford didn't just operate R/R at 2 when they had 2 in form reserves. Cost Oxford the metting. Zach Cook was very poor, don't know what's happened to him this year, hopefully he shows the same form on Friday night. -
Yes, Drew Kemp certainly helped last time and there's no chance of the other six all clicking as Matt Marson is riding.

Poole vs Oxford BSN 07/05/25

Marson has ridden against a 2 point rider, guesting for Edinburgh against Berwick - Dayle Wood. Marson was way off the pace in this meeting and only scored in a race with 2 finishers. Interestingly he was interviewed by BSN and he said he was riding with a knee injury which he picked up last year. -
You'd think they could schedule it so that it's home one week and away next week but no Glasgow v Berwick v Glasgow are on same weekend twice. Even more unbelievable Glasgow go to Plymouth the day after a home meeting.
-
Definitely not a Poole fan!
-
Great fixture planning home opener 18th April (Good Friday), then no home fixtures until 9th May 🤬
-
Think it's a lot easier to travel from London to Edinburgh than Plymouth. He could easily fly up. It's a long drive to Plymouth

So did the Glasgow management last season and that went well. Starkie talked the talk preseason but once the season started a total disappointment

Why does he even qualify as a 2 pointer? He's Australian -
That will be why Leicester sacked their manager when they weren't in a relegation place. No because the fans didn't like the style of play under Cooper compared to Maresca. Similarly West Ham got rid of Moyes and now fans are unhappy with Lopetegui. People are paying good money and want to be entertained
-
Don't think it has anything to do with the quality of riders, seen plenty of rubbish meetings in the Premiership. Even in SGP sometimes it ain't good. Compare Poole v Glasgow and Glasgow v Poole championship 2024 same riders but far better racing at Glasgow.
-
It's just like premier league football winning isn't enough, fans want to be entertained. Poole = zero entertainment yet their fans seem happy. Nobody else understands why
-
At Glasgow the racing was fantastic and we lost once at home to Poole 44-46 in a last heat decider. Seem to recall Poole lost one meeting at home as well and Oxford had won by heat 14. More importantly saw more passing in one meeting than the whole season at Poole
-
But they do spend money on their team at Championship level but nothing on the racing surface. One of the best meeting I ever saw on TV was the speedway World Cup at Poole but now the racing is garbage
