It’s been like that in all 3 meetings so far, the odd good race here and there but no where near as good as the past. Track looked fine and the racing is usually better the slicker it gets, I do think a lot of it is down to the tyres, riders getting use to them and no comfortable with them.

Multiple issues reported with the new Anlas tyres over the weekend, tyres are softer and seem to tear easily. Tonight at Belle Vue riders were given multiple tyres instead of the the usual 1 and there was still 2 'punctures'. Hearing there is a big meeting tomorrow between riders and SCB about the tyres. Also they seem to be effecting racing too, not sure if it's because riders not feeling comfortable on them. Have they caused any of the multiple injuries as well?

Belle Vue have struggled in both home meetings so far. All depends on the Ipswich reserves, especially with them having the R/R rides. If Rowe rides like he has been doing and Kemp rides NSS like last year then will be close.

All these posts about Pedersen after 1 home meeting. Yes he was poor in that but it was a one off, he did well at Belle Vue the same day and has done ok for Plymouth. -

There's a difference to doing it correctly like just giving the outside a water to create more grip and doing it incorrectly watering the whole track including the slicker areas turning into bend the riders hate.
-
I kind of agree but if you are going to delay the start then get on with the meeting and don’t start having an interval at 21:18. Now 21.45 and only done heat 13.

Belle Vue Aces v P'boro Panthers BHM (31/05) Midday...

Like I said wouldn’t rule out a BV win, was comfortable in the end. That Peterborough team will be very inconsistent. -

Limited crowd at Peterborough looks bigger then the normal crowds they use to get! -
Missed opportunities with live streaming
Rob B replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It’s not £5 more then they would normally get as it’s not free to put the streaming on! But I agree it should be an option especially when crowds are limited. Ice hockey in UK are similar size sport to speedway and get similar size crowds. They been doing streaming for quite a few years now. At first they were concerned it would effect attendance but they found 90% of the viewers were away fans or home fans who didn’t live close by. Majority of home fans still attended, but to make sure of that you can’t price too low, £10-12 about right. -
Belle Vue Aces v P'boro Panthers BHM (31/05) Midday...

I thought BV would win but not surprised it was close, although they may be dads army that Peterborough team have plenty of experience at Belle Vue but they can be inconsistent and hard to predict, that team that did well today could get thrashed next week, wouldn’t rule out at BV win tonight either. -

Keeping the track moist isn’t a problem at Belle Vue. If it would be Poole you wouldn’t be able to see the track for dust after heat 2. -

Ipswich V Belle Vue 20th May
Rob B replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Number 1 in heat 1 always has to start on gate 3 or 4 which on most tracks are tougher and then heat 1 is usually harder to pass in as all the grip on inside. -
It's now postponed.
-
Yeah think its very unlikely, the NSS copes very well with rain but it rained all day non stop yesterday and looks like it will today too.
