  1. "NDL co-ordinator Jason Pipe explained: “This is a decision that had to be made in the end to give the event the credibility it deserves. " Credibility at Stoke lol At least with the 6.30pm start time they might get it finished for 10.30pm.
  2. Hate to have seen what track was like previous weeks if that was really good last night. There is hump going into 1st bend and big one on inside of 3rd bend straightening riders up creating most of the passing opportunities. Happened several times to Doyle and twice to Fricke in heat 15 while trying to race with Doyle so just gave up. For BelleVue the defeat was well expected but bigger then thought, we knew Wells and Berge would be poor but Bjerre had bad night with bike problems, Lidsey started off great in heat 2 first time on track but then went backwards.
  3. Bjerre has to use Lidsey’s bike in heat 13, no extra time would have been given so that’s why Wells was put in.
  4. Whole thing is a waste of time , Lindback fastest yesterday but one of worst riders in meeting. 'Fastest' riders picking riding position with 2 gate 1's and then gate one turns out to be the worst.
  5. Anyone know why this is a Friday rather then the usual Saturday FIM metings are? More people would travel on a Saturday.
  6. Bewley finally sorts his bike problems out
  7. 0 from 3 for Bewley says it all about current score line.
  8. Complete exaggeration, 600 in grandstand (easy to estimate as each block holds 300). The south stand holds 1200 and is about half full so that makes attendance about 1200. Not great but not terrible when it’s on TV and first Monday after school holidays.
  9. King isn’t great at NSS, he won British final in 2016 on a wet track and hasn’t done much since. Harris is poor at NSS which always surprises me for a racer, he has occasional good ride. Lawson is quite good but is usually a second string and will struggle at number 1. Bellego will do well but don’t think will trouble the BV heatleaders.
  10. I hope from a entertainment point of view that Fricke, Bjerre & Bewley don't have their gating gloves on as nobody in the Ipswich team will get close to them. There should be some good battles in the lower orders though.
  11. The capacity has nothing to do with stopping it holding a GP. Slovenia, Germany, Prague, Swedish tracks etc can’t hold 20-25000, most are around 10,000 same as Belle Vue. It’s never going to replace Cardiff. its all about money, they worried about reducing the attendance at Cardiff and also the huge money Manchester City council would have to pay which the like of Krsko, Teterow etc seem to be willing.
  12. Berge average been updated to 4.76 now so moves to number 2, Ricky Wells at reserve.
  13. On the official green sheets for June they still have Berge on his 4.00 average but been told think this is mistake and should be updated and Wells should be at reserve but we will have to see.
  14. Ipswich need Allen to be competitive as their strength is at reserve and middle order, their top end won’t be able to compete with Fricke & Bjerre.
  15. Doesn't fit, wouldnt want him anyway.
  16. Very poor, combination of school night, Manchester City parade happening and we had a meeting on Thursday. Will be more then double the size on Bank Holiday Monday.
  17. Another mid meeting slip up from Belle Vue, I was actually thinking we were going to struggle to win the meeting after heat 11 but pulled it out of the bag towards the end. Surely Wells has to go now.
  18. The very wide outside line by fence hasn't been working so well this year, it has been noticed that the track is being graded differenty this year with the dirt being brought down from the outside presumably at the request of riders/management. The racing got a lot better as the meeting went on, plenty of passing from heat 10 onwards, heat 10 was great race between Ellis and Fricke and again Ellis was involved in heat 12 with Lidsey which was fantastic. Heat 15 had 2 races in one between Fricke & Doyle and Bjerre & Batchelor, it wasn't about the inside, far from it, plenty of times we were shouting that riders weren't ride wide enough and being passed.
  19. Musielak confirmed he dislocated arm and not riding for Swindon
  20. Another annoyance of the Polish federation is making all the Polish riders wear the Polish team kevlars.
