  1. Dan Bewley writes : Hey everyone, Gutted to have to take a little time out ! Last Thursday in my first heat I aggravated my back, it didn’t feel too bad at first but every heat it got worse, I seen a sports therapist on Friday in Poland and felt good before my match on Sunday, in the practice before the meeting it felt ok but in every race the pain got worse, after the meeting I had an X-ray and it showed there was nothing serious. Before the British final on Monday I was in ice baths and Jacuzzis and felt good again, I wore a kidney belt and took some pain killers before my first heat but sadly it wasn’t enough and the pain came back and I knew I had to stop. Since then I’ve been checked out by an osteopath and told I most likely have a facet joint strain (like a sprained ankle but in your back). The actual injury isn’t bad but because of all the Nerves in the area it feels allot worse than it is. Hopefully in 1 or 2 weeks I’ll be pain free and back racing Thanks for all the support, and to @row1932rybnik @theaces1928 @mark.lemon for their help.
  2. This year, Bewley only ridden there once and that was his 2nd meeting back after breaking leg in 9 places.

  4. Definitely, his previous performances at NSS have been very poor but am sure can improve there with some setup help from Fricke & Bjerre etc.
  5. He broke rib at Swindon last week, along with the broken hand he already had.
  6. Belle Vue signed Nikolaj Busk Jacobsen to replace Tero Aarnio
  7. Holder didn't need a visa to ride in SoN as he wasn't being employed in this country.
  8. That was dangerous from Christina Turnbull, waited till the riders crossed the line to put red lights on so she could award it when rider lay in middle of first bend.
  9. You are forgetting about 'young' Andy Meredith at Belle Vue who prepares best track in the country. Obviously learnt it all from his dad Colin.
  10. When I was taken to Peterborough as a kid in the early 90's I seem to remember the grass banking along backstraight was a lot higher and steeper? Is my mind playing tricks on me or was it reduced? I know its been like its current state at least the last 15 years.
  11. Peterborough can’t ride any home meetings in August yet still have 3 home meetings to be arranged with play offs starting mid way through September.
  12. Buster going on how good his track is due to track records, grippy inside just makes crap racing and riders lifting slamming into fence!
  13. Yes last Monday, crashed again in the meeting making his broken hand worst.
  14. Ah right, is that about same time as BT Sport deal done?
  15. Go Speed I think run by Terry Russell own all the rights.
  16. Yes they are at weekends, but there are some big distances, some teams in the league from Dundee, Belfast, Cardiff, Guildford etc. When it’s Manchester v Sheffield or Sheffield v Nottingham etc there are lots of travelling fans who would rather be there then watching on a stream and usually sell out.
  17. The idea is to attract away fans and neutrals to watch it who wouldn’t want to travel without stopping locals from attending. Price of around £10 is lot cheaper for an away fan then travelling etc. Ice hockey been doing this for years and have learnt this you don’t want to affect the the home crowd but gain from mainly away fans watching steam who don’t want to travel.
  18. It has been very succesful in ice hockey with 10 out of the 11 teams doing it. Crowds don't seem to have been affected too much as I have been told 90% of the viewers are away fans.

  20. £5 too cheap, what would happen is locals would stop attending, would need to be around £10. Ice Hockey been doing this for several years now.
