Belle Vue v Swindon 14/5/18 BT Sport
Rob B replied to Rob B's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
£18 standing, no one forcing you to sit in grandstand and BTW it’s £21 for normal grandstand seat and £24 for premium seats and it’s always the premium seats that sell out first which shows price isn’t always the problem. -

They haven’t run as many training days as they had hoped as the stadium is run by the council, apparently this is difficult. There has been some though and the new GB setup had 2 days at NSS few weeks ago training the young riders : -

Last year it was compulsory £10 set by BSPA/BT, that’s not happening this year although nothing to stop clubs trying it. It does help bring in bigger crowds for TV meetings but long term not sure about then benefit. Lakeside famously did free entry few years ago and got huge crowd then the following week it was back to normal. Its all about getting people coming back each week, since Belle Vue moved to NSS and mainly Friday nights the crowds have gradually increased over the last 2 years, but this year they have dropped right back down again with change of race night. -

Yes and at supporters meeting before the season the owners said they were losing lot of money last year and needed more people coming and this year it’s even worst. -

£18 actually, no BT offer this year. Personally I think they should have given vouchers out though at last weeks BH meeting for £10 this week. Apart from BH Monday, other Mondays crowds have been 400-500 down on last season, that’s a hell of a lot. The racing is still as good on excellent track with good facilities, decent team lineup similar to last few seasons, the main reason is change from Friday to Monday which could get worst with TV fixtures on Mondays starting now. Hopefully school holidays will make a difference soon. -

Lambert is going to be in anyway as U21 rider.
-
Looked like they put too much water down at start, was far too wet for an indoor temporary track.
-
I would have thought both should have gone for touching them.

How crap are those new graphics! Looks like something from a 90’s video game

If we trying to portray the sport as professional team sport, one looks far better then the other : -
Last year it was a deal between BT and BSPA all meetings had to be £10 except playoffs. New deal this year so wondered if still the same.

Steve Worrall premiership average gone down even though he not ridden a meeting!
-
With the first BT Sport meeting 2 weeks away, has anything been said if BT meetings are going to be £10 entry this year?

There are 4 official car parks round the stadium so plenty of parking for normal meetings. South stand standing is available too for £18 and view is even better as you are closer to the track and better atmosphere. -
