Barker is still a very good rider , he's beaten so called racing snakes by miles over the years. He'll do fine at this level, screeny was never really a lightweight but again not many could beat him. What barker looses in speed he more than makes up for in bravery.

Do you think a massive club like belle vue would waste money on electricity, water etc etc just to make the numbers up and give young riders a chance of getting track time for no reward at the end of the season?

This isn't the m o of Leicester or belle vue in this league as they build teams to win at all costs every season if possible.
