  1. Agreed....but only if he commits from the start of the season and for all of the season....these half hearted efforts do nothing for me...
  2. If this is true...then Tolley hasn't learned much from this season? First appointment should be someone who knows what they're doing! CVS / Peter Adams. Get rid of his amateur advisors! Then the next job is to get the track sorted! From this seasons side... Breenan and Cook are the only 2 riders worth re-signing IMO
  3. Very funny...although you might find Millik and Pawlicki hold that title!! 😃
  4. They should've sacked Pawlicki and bought a decent bowser with the money saved. The track prep has been inadequate for most meetings. In fact, the time that the track was prepared well, B'ham actually won (v Belle Vue) Can't see many turning up next year (if they continue) unless something is done about the surface. It will be hard to attract decent riders....'who wants to race on that every week'.....'let alone watch it' ?! (unless you're a good gater of course....) 😃
  5. He takes the 'p#ss' when he does ride as well! A complete waste of money! As said before...he must be on a 'guaranteed' contract...I cant imagine any other club putting up with him this season!
  6. With just a few meetings remaining, we'll find out who's trying to secure a team spot for next season. Let the increasing and lowering of averages begin 😆
  7. I haven't claimed to know how to prepare a track? but if you think its good enough then you're easily pleased! I could certainly select a better side ! Pawlicki wouldnt be getting another ride that's for sure....he must be on a guaranteed contract...he's crap!
  8. Both incidents are matters of opinion I guess... (stood on the Centre Green on many occasions and I can't agree that it's the best viewing aspect for both of the said incidents) As for the track? From my position and many, many other speedway fans, the track is inconsistent and not good enough.... I know a lot of people work hard and put in a lot of effort at the Club.....but unfortunately, they're not getting it right.
  9. Unfortunately Brian, the fact of the matter is that the track was ok for a few heats and then it was poor, with blue grooves and minimal racing lines..... nearly wiping out Lampart and Flint... Being on TV made it evident for ALL to see!
  10. No, they were riding at reserve for B'ham ! (bit harsh on Paco tho....)
  11. I don't think there's been a meeting where he's deserved extra rides, it's obvious Pawliki/Millik were signed JUST to tick the necessary boxes to be admitted in to the Premier, there appears to be no thought/positive team building tactics....but I agree with ALL your other points of view ! There's only been 2 decent signings at PB this season and that's Brennan and Lingdren.... Zach Cook was a promising signing....but making him the scapegoat for the poor results/performances and management ineptness, was sacrilege!
  12. Are Poole high-jacking the 'Brummies' thread ? (just bantering...)
  13. Don't think it will make any difference to the season's outcome as to who they bring in/leave out...... MPT is an average rider around PB....will be like for like. We've had chances to sign better riders earlier in the season, but these weren't taken! Sorry for sounding repetitive.......,but Zach Cook was/is better round PB than Worrall/MPT !! B'ham need a proper 'Manager' !
  14. Sorry...quite right...senior moment! (i couldnt make that meeting....so totally forgot...LOL)
  15. I'm going to guess at a young Bernt Persson ?
  16. All the whys , wherefores, excuses of poor team performances, crap signings, inept management/tactical knowledge etc etc etc....doesn't account for a 'poor' racing surface week after week....!!! The one week that the track was prepped to a 'good/acceptable/raceable' standard, was V belle Vue ....the only win of the season..and that was with Milik in the team ??? Nuff said!
  17. Don't think Chris could do any worse? at least he could call on his old man for advice/guidance.... The damage has been done...but it's not too late to at least try and change things....but the changes need to be done at the 'foundations'... A proper 'speedway' person is needed! First things first....get in someone who 'INSISTS' that the track is prepared for racing.... As the Hobbit suggests....get rid of Pawliki/Lampart....sign a couple of riders who may not win all their heats, but will win the fans over with TOTAL commitment! We had one of those riders in Zack Cook ! mindless decision to sack him! Hobbit also suggests on another forum that the Team Manager's role be handed to a supporter of the Club? 'Said' supporter having years of speedway experience....'great idea' !
