  1. Magic will be unbeatable at Oxford, on a 'dry' day !
  2. I did watch it on stream and yes there were a few passes, but it wasn't what I'd call great racing....I wouldn't say that I enjoyed the meeting, regardless of how close the score line was!? Guess it's all about opinions? Not sure what's to be gained by getting a meeting on at all costs, from a 'viewing' spectacle? I understand the Club/riders have cost/admin considerations.
  3. Oxford did go ahead, but it wasnt great...imo! Rideable, but not raceable!! Leicester got it right!
  4. Thought Kilby/Schlein did a great job with the livestream! Thought the track was rideable, but not raceable (may be the last couple of heats)....unless you're 'Bomber'...who can race on anything ! I for one predicted a heavy loss for B'ham (like most others)....not sure what the need is for admitting that, when the posts are there for all to read? May be we should all be patting szkocjasid on the back for getting closer with his prediction? Going forward....if a reserve cant replace a reserve in Heat 8....then B'ham would be better off having Cook at No.7 (IMO)
  5. You can if he touches the tapes or exceeds 2mins Thought a reserve could replace a reserve?
  6. Not at all... got lucky, only coz Wright fell off!
  7. Oh dear...come on Sam.... blooming obvious that cook shud replace flint in heat 8! Tut... ffs simple tactics!
  8. https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/forecast/gcpn7mp10#?date=2024-03-14 Well with a forecast like this...I would be reluctant to travel....its a 160mile round trip!
  9. Having looked at possibilities? May be its thought that Brennan has a stronger chance in Heat 8.....? Lampart will be out with Worrall for first 3 rides and he should be used to the track by Heat12 and he will have Z.Cook with him then.....or a T/S if required? Nichols at 5 is the only decision that needs to be implemented, as that will most likely be the only position that will have any positive impact? It's going to be a tough night... 55-35 ? One is assuming that Nichols will be doing a few laps at P/P today!?
  10. Agreed....Leicester can expect at least 'one' new supporter of speedway through the gate ! (don't change your club colours)
  11. Perhaps my O.P wasnt clear ? I wasn't insinuating that B'ham 'should've' done a 'Kennett'.....more surprised that they didnt!? As a 'supporter/watcher/follower/attendee' whatever the word may be.....I'm glad they didnt and am looking forward to seeing Scott Nicholls ride!(He is 'brilliant' around Perry Barr!) Nicholls/Cook /Brennan and Flint are the only signings that I would've made! I like Worrall and think he's a very good steady Eddie...but there are way better riders in his positon.... Apologies, as my post is slipping in to the 'predictions thread'!
  12. Rogers has built poor sides ever since arriving at B'ham....he 'sort of' got away with it at a lower level, but I don't think he has anywhere to hide this season!? This is without doubt the least 'competitive' side, ever assembled, in all my years of following B'ham Speedway! Excuse after excuse...... Bull after bull.....there's no defence...there's no words... He will play a good role as Messiah to the MDL.....end of!
  13. Just as a point of interest ??? Pawliki 'ONLY' has a pulled muscle...'SUPPOSEDLY'? So, with B'ham having no chance at all at getting anything from Oxford (Thursday)....why didnt Pawliki just do an Eddie Kennett ? B'ham could use a guest facility after that? I'm not suggesting that Nicholls isnt a good move though!?
