LOL .....I certainly don't have blind faith!
As its a prediction thread? I predict that B'ham will never have a competitive side so long as Laurence Rogers pulls the strings!
I watched the 'Club' interview with 'Pawliki'.....it wasn't very inspiring! (albeit, his English is poor.....better than my Polish though )
I would say a home advantage would be more prominent, when the so called 'set-up' is critical ? (prominent being the operative word....)
Eastbourne/Belle Vue being the 2 extremes......
That's just my opinion....I have no technical knowledge to add any weight to this, just 50 odd years supporting the sport!
We've had this debate before?
Winning isn't essential for me....
I'd rather lose 44-46 and see close/exciting racing, than win by 20 points or more....(with races being won FTG)
Worrall is so-so at PB....If he gates, he'll do ok....but if he doesn't, then it will be a 'low' score!
We've got some steady-Eddie's (Worral/Brennan/Flint...) we need Pawliki/Milik and Lampart to be scoring at least 20/22 points between them, for there to be any chance of a home win!?
I think the track will suit him better...less technical !
I think him and Cook will most likely improve their averages....Cook flies at PB and isnt afraid to use the dirt, of which their looks to be a new shed load going down!?
I haven't seen much of Leon since he left Brum, but the times I have seen him, I think there's something missing in his 'style/versatility'?
Can't put my finger on it....but he hasn't got what Tom Brennan has got....or Hagon/Boughen (IMO)
Think its pretty obvious that signing Sam was/is a publicity stunt, simply because of his Wolves attachment!?
It doesn't appear that he's had any input/say in the make-up of the team?
Sam will be used more for PR than tactical nouse, one would think/expect?
Well, if Pawliki and Milik are as entertaining as a fair few BSF posters have been saying, then it should bring a few neutrals through the gate and that's wot the Club needs, because the regular are decreasing due to age etc.... I can't see this team winning, but if I'm entertained, I'll be happy and a win will be a bonus!
Not far behind, is 'still' weaker than!
I disagree about 'Lampart' ? but only time will be the judge of that! (give me Howarth/Palm-Toft at PB any day of the week!)
I think Brennan/Worrall/Cook/Flint were always going to be signed, so I don't think any sort of 'timing/tactical' signing would've made any difference?
However, I don't think the 'Lampart' signing needed to be done until the TOP 2 were in place?
There hasn't been any 'tactical' team building at PB since the 'judge' left!
