I think the meetings these days are 'rushed' through....there's obviously good/not so good points about that?
Not sure whether this affects our manager's inability to make beneficial tactical changes? (not enough time to 'consider' a change etc...)
But my general opinion, is that there's little, or no atmosphere in between races!
It needs a complete over-haul....announcers with charisma....etc etc etc....
From a personal perspective, I'm happy with 'rushed' through meetings simply because I'm only there for the 'racing'...but I can easily see why youngsters/new fans would be bored 'sh#tless'!
Difficult to gauge atm, because the meetings that we've had, its been freezing, so a fair few have watched from indoors and its hard to see how many?
But, what I have seen, is that there's been hardly anyone outside (200/300?) and only a handful of away supporters.
I think so far as a newbie attending ? what a speedway meeting seriously lacks...is presentation!
With so few in attendance, the atmosphere is already dull compared to most sports!
I always look at how the darts has changed with time and how successful that is now! (mind you, take away 'the alcohol' and I think darts would fall on its head!)
I agree R/R will be the best option in the current circumstance, but we shouldn't have got in to this position in the first place!
We could have signed another rider Kemp/Thompson (D) and given Wright more time to heal ?
Just have to wait and see, but as Heathen 52 points out, if we get another drubbing, then it's going to hit attendance levels.
If Wright makes an appearance on Wednesday, but finds that he can't continue, does the Guest facility revert back to 100% average for the rest of season, or is the 28 day situation a rolling rule?
Reading between the lines, I can't see Wright coming back strong and making an impact....
According to Rogers on the Brum forum, Wright will make a decision next week if he's returning ??? (he also said he was hopeful of Wright returning...)
Are we going through smoke and mirrors again?
I wouldnt call it wishful thinking, as I dont think J.T would improve us in anyway....but I'd much rather pay to watch him give it his all, over a rider that's passed his best and gives up after 2 laps!
I can't see the manager dumping Nielsen, so it would be just the one place available (for Wright)
Not sure what average is left, but as soon as new averages come out, Morris's will drop and we'll have more scope?
