  1. B'ham's Team Manager going to America for the USA v ROW meeting ? Can only point to one hit single by Dexy's Midnight Runners ?
  2. Personally, I don't think any of the B'ham team will 'up' their starting average....that's just my opinion and not a criticism. More than happy to be proved wrong!
  3. Oxford have a very good top 3 (championship level), they will get murdered at reserve!
  4. I think it's a short sighted move, especially with the team average being lowered! I think its a deal that suits the rider more than the club. It's done now and all club supporters can do is get on with it.
  5. Had bags of potential and solid backing...but seems to have wasted it? You've either got it, or you haven't and he looks like he hasn't ? One natural quality he did have (from memory) is : He was a very good gater! (something that you can't teach...well, to a point!)
  6. Apologies...I wasn't insinuating that you were being disrespectful...I actually thought that you might be being serious (after all, Tom made an appearance last season v Big Al's Memorial) I think you may be right with 'Gino'? I don't think there can be too much criticism whoever it is....(it's only a reserve...no expectations and all that) The damage is/was done signing Morris on a 10 plus average! IMO
  7. Love Tom, but I'm hoping your suggestion is said in jest !
  8. No Tate Zische till June..... And Plan B is ????
  9. A great 'Ego' feeding topic by looks of it
  10. Need to add Camarthen and Bristol... Instead of naming 'amount' of tracks.....what about naming 'favourite' track and why ? I loved Halifax for the banked bends and as a kid, I loved the Old Belle Vue for the fairground Crewe was great, simply because you could get so close to the track.....(no such thing as H&S back in them days)
  11. As well as all the British tracks mentioned... I can add Barrow-Long Eaton-Crewe-Sunderland-Coatbridge-Weymouth-Boston- in to the mix... only been to Warsaw abroad.
  12. Battered chips at the Chippy near Monmore Green were the best imo... avent been for a few years...apologies, just realised the topic states Championship food? On that note... I can only confirm that bham food is rubbishe!
  13. You could....but I don't think any of us will be !
  14. Great team selection by Poole management, as always.... I think one of the advantages with Poole, is that they are a successful club, well supported, well organised and 'riders' want to sign/ride for a set-up like that. Must be great for a rider to perform in front of a good atmosphere....surely that must squeeze that few percent more out of them.
  15. I think Rye House was one of the smallest tracks that my dad took me to (1974) apart from Wimbledon, where they started and finished in different places
  16. 242 Metres ? I think Archie Wilkinson and Chris Harrison joined B'ham after riding for Crayford?
  17. Totally agree...it's personal choice. This is just my opinion. I got dizzy watching the online meeting. I'm sure it will probably be a 50/50 split on spectator enjoyment etc... It's just not for me!
  18. Just looked...yes, you're right. 49 seconds TR ! good training track for learning to slide/turn the bike.
  19. I managed to watch 4 races....one of the most boring race tracks I've seen....I'm glad I don't have to watch racing here week in week out!
  20. Another new sponsor for B'ham....(main website..) Great news!
  21. Speedway would be a 'duller' sport without Poole IMO.... Poole set the bar and 'we' (other clubs) have to try and aspire to it.... It's a beautiful part of the country too. I admire their winning mentality.... We all want to beat Poole ...it's healthy competition IMO!
