  1. Just been reading the Newcastle v Workington K.O.Cup thread from July 8th ... All 6 pages of it ( including 3 posts from yourself) and guess what? there is NOT ONE complaint about the state of the track that night ... I wondered why that was, then I remembered your lot won!!! Strange that!! Then again anything your lot say about speedway I take with a pinch of salt as your lot also think Robert Lambert is not a very good speedway rider
  2. Newcastle fans should be used to paying for double headers one last week at Workington, one tomorrow at Rye House and again another one next week at Workington .... Expensive hobby watching Newcastle these days
  3. No broken bones for Tero which is great news
  4. Never seen George’s comments of a few seasons ago so can’t comment on that but you have just said in your own words the Barker/Aarnio incident was “similar” to Richie’s so you must agree it was Barkers fault as you must also know some Redcar fans were that enraged about it they were saying they wished “Richie had been killed”
  5. Spooky coincidence!!! It was August bank holiday weekend in 2016 when Dan got a season ending injury with a bad crash at Newcastle
  6. Not that it showed during his 4 programmes rides but maybe he was still feeling the effects of his fall at Berwick on Saturday
  7. Don’t worry about it too much Sarah has the same feelings for Newcastle and especially Brough Park
  8. No wonder speedway is dying on its ar*e with rules like these.. I would rather see Newcastle get beat 35-55 with Bach and Klindt having cracking races with Ludvig and Robbo etc than us win 55-35 with the 2 National league guests tootling 1/4 of a lap behind.. They will have to look further afield than Josh Embleton though as he is riding for Birmingham at Coventry on Sunday
  9. Got to agree about length of time to run meetings. Seems to be getting longer each week....Yes I agree both teams were using rider replacement but even before the starting gate problems and the gentleman being attended to by first aiders on the terracing it was still nearly 20/25 minutes between end of heat 14 and original start of heat 15
  10. It wasn’t even 3 weeks it was 10 days as up until last Tuesday( Newcastle were visiting Glasgow on Friday 3rd ) then they got told it was being postponed due to the Test match the following night
  11. I have been on this forum long enough to remember when you used to post on every Coventry thread when they were going for the title
  12. An official source .. Who has been at the stadium the last couple of hours
  13. Could go back to Ipswich if Danny King out for rest of season with his arm injury
  14. Not disagreeing with you and others who have replied .. All I said was your win could of been more than 10 points
  15. Exactly what was said with the crowd I was standing with.... only the words pathetic and disgrace to the club were used
  16. Should of been more as couldn’t understand why your manager replaced Josh Embleton in heat 11 with Kyle Bickley when he could of used the then unbeaten Rasmus Jensen who ended up only having 6 rides
  17. Why the big space between first two lines???? Did your finger get stuck ??
  18. Looking forward to seeing Josh Pickering again. Hope he is as entertaining as when he guested for Ipswich. My favourite performance by an away rider so far this season
  19. So if it’s a Sunday and I have to dash off for an emergency before the meeting starts the announcer could say to me “See you in 8 days” and if I stay until the end of a meeting and it’s still a Sunday the announcer will say to me “ see you in 7 days “
  20. I have been to many meetings over the years and at the end the announcer has said “ Hope to see you all back here again in 7 days” and not once to my knowledge has anybody said “no it’s actually 8
  21. And before this thread gets into a slanging match with the usual suspects I just want to say well done to Steve Shovlar and Lisa Colette for giving honest opinions and actually not sticking up for Poole in this instance .. Well done
