interesting you should mention him (Brennan), the guy Craig Cook alleged was nearly killed by the unsafe track his step dad owns, as a reason not to race. and people wonder why the Dugards were angry with Cook?

I went to Championship 4's massive crowd, well organised and track was superb by end of meeting and through most of the 30 + races!

that logic has much merit but you have to go back to the minute the ref arrived according to Eastbourne's version of events anyway. otherwise why would they be riled at Cook in the first place? or do you go back to may when they rode in the League? or do you accept Cook is a prat and Cook and Dugard are prats or do you believe English don't hate Jocks??.. how far is how far....???

Mr Facenna made a perfectly good statement in Speedway Star last week in fairness to him Eastbourne did not comment until after the Hearing. Don't see an issue in what either said They agree to disagree so time to move on.

Seems a lot more factual and accurate than the statement put out by Craig Cook in the Speedway Star which if you read the statement from Eastie properly it seeks it seems to me to make a non confrontational rebuttal to, and makes point they waited for the Hearing and have accepted by the finding of..

I agree, I'm staggered by how many can't even handle technology to accept Card payments, even major (relative to Speedway) stadia like Monmore Green.

Some people obviously not read article as I have. Eastie have made the point that Craig Cook got a 2 page article in SS last week while Inquiry going on and they had decided not to comment until Inquiry done. Been consistent in that it seems and that is what any sensible Club in any sport would do. They have had a say on their version of events. Whether you agree or not they are entitled to have their say and on the whole it is well written and professional in my opinion as a neutral. I think the point they are trying to make and explain about 90 minutes of provocation and Glasgow trying to get match stopped and condition of the track is only something you can really comment on if you were there, I wasn't there so have to take a view based on video, what Glasgow have said and what Eastie have said, and what people who were there have said.. Track looks fine to me on all video I have seen from 18 secs to 23 minutes. What Cook and Facenna said in SS last week was somewhat contradictory, Cook very aggressive Facenna a lot more balanced.. What Eastie say here is closer in conciliation and tone to Facenna statement. May be best leave it with comments from Facenna and whoever wrote this. Dugards are no saints and neither is Cook or Vissing an explosive mix but handbags compared to some things I've seen over the years before social media. Gary Peterson / Arthur Browning / Crazy Jack Millen / Kelvin Mullarkey - now they knew how to scrap - wouldn't be around a day in this age!

been there 3 times this season (twice brummies once leicester) and security / stewards there each time, got this one guy, "man mountain" who guards the Office / Turnstiles very polite guy though. think the others patrol the perimeter fence as very remote and quite easy to get in to for free in places I'd think.

so much has been written it's hard to remember but recollect someone there saying they did a couple of laps light grading to rectify the holes and mounds the Glasgow riders had made. All of the film I've seen from the now infamous 18 second Martin Dugard clip to the excellent 23 minute documentary shows the track to be apparently perfectly fine.

we will wait for the announcement that Mr M Bates and Mr D Bates have announced the sale of the Club to Master M Bates and Ms M Bates (no relation). no doubt that the sale of Sheffield Speedway will comply perfectly with and ideally suited to whatever structure the Management Committee come up with for 2020, anyone would think they had "inside information".

agreed 100% If Cook had biggest ban and biggest earner should have fined him £5000 and ban until paid If Kennett and Vissing has same ban and probably similar earners should have fined them £3000 and ban until paid. No Guest facility either. That's fair to the other 9 Teams in the League.

Looking at weather forecasts for the next 10 days could be at least one of them (could be any of the 3) actually misses no matches. Not ideal but surely if you are going to ban for 10 or 12 days a proportionate fine relevant to "x matches" or a suspended fine (or Fine in the case of Cook who has previous) would be a better punishment.

if Craig cook came to Birmingham and rode round ignoring red lights and flag waving marshalls and one of our marshalls stood there as last man putting his own safety before kids are you telling me that would be right??.. The Marshall was all that was between Cook and the public and had seen Cook ignore red lights and his fellow marshalls flags. The video also shows him showing remarkable restraint after being attacked by Cook, a pity that some others didn't show restraint on both sides. By all means impose a fine/punishment on Dugard and Juul and Vissing etc. but in my honest opinion confronted with Cook riding towards me with no interest in stopping i would do exactly same things and have marshalled on Grass and other ACU/ACMA events (not speedway). Cook has previous for foul moth rants and attacking officials, Jason Pipe springs to mind, this is another official (marshall) he has attacked. Should be banned for rest of season and sacked by Glasgow in my opinion.

The implication of that is that if cook did not have previous form in terms of assaulting Track Officials, he would have received same punishment as Kennett and Vissing. I'd argue from what I've seen that Cook's actions were pre-meditated by events of previous 90 minutes, Vissing acted like an idiot all night and Kennett over reacted to seeing Cook's attack om Marshall. I would suggest if 10 days is the entry level that Cook is very lucky not to get 20+ days.
